Prabodhini Ekadashi Vrat holds great importance as it is believed that on this day, Lord Vishnu ‘wakes up’ from his deep slumber, marking the end of Chaturmas. As per religious beliefs, during Chaturmas, Lord Vishnu rests on the cosmic serpent Shesha in the Kshir Sagar (ocean of milk), and on this day, he awakens.
