Mumbai, September 9: In a shocking video that has come to the front, bar dancers were seen performing during Ganesh puja celebration at Nandurbar Railway Ganpati Mandal. According to a Times of India report, after the video of the dancers grooving to latest songs went viral, there has been an inquiry on the same. The incident reportedly took place on Friday night, when an orchestra was invited by Nandurbar Railway Ganpati Mandal for entertainment. Few of the railway employees were also found to be dancing with the bar girls.

In a similar incident that happened a few years ago, a Ganesh mandal in Vasai turned into a dance bar with a woman dancing on the stage to sleazy Bollywood and Bhojpuri songs and men throwing notes at her.

A few months back in Hyderabad, a woman dancer at a bar here was allegedly stripped and trashed by four of her fellow woman dancers and a man after she refused to extend sexual favours to customers.  Earlier this year, the Supreme Court delivered its crucial verdict on the validity of Maharashtra Prohibition of Obscene dances in Hotels, restaurants & bar rooms Act. The top court relaxed the stringent conditions set by the state government for issuing licences to dance bars and upheld the performance timing cap of five and a half hours for the dance performances.
