A Nissan sedan had quite an unexpected speed thrill on Sunday, 14 January. The car which hit a divider went airborne before crashing into the second floor of a building. The car flew almost 60 feet in the air before it crashed into a dental clinic. The front half of the car was stuck in while the rear dangled outside. The people in the car suffered minor injuries, one of them could escape well while the other had to wait till the firefighters reached the scene. The driver of the car was under the influence of drugs.

Both the people inside were taken to the hospital for minor injuries. Capt. Stephen Horner, a spokesman for the Orange County Fire Authority, said officials received a call about a crash in Santa Ana, California, at about 5:30 a.m. The car was at a very high speed when it hit the concrete median. Horner informed the car was not parallel to the divider; instead, it slammed in the middle, the impact making it swoop across. The officials used a crane to pull the car out of the building. In fact, they had to get a specialized wrecker truck for the rescue.

The residents of the nearby motel were shocked by the loud thud. But there was no damage to the motel property. The dental clinic was shut since it was the wee hours of the morning when the accident happened.

The driver agreed to for a narcotic presence in him and the authorities have filed the charges for driving under influence of drugs. But being under treatment they could not be put to trial.
