Social media sites play a major role in our lives today. Especially those tempting pictures of influencers travelling the world, has an immense significance. The struggle is real! But at times, some of them go way too extra for the gram. Like tricking their followers with fake pictures. Recently, a lot of influencers were caught faking to travel the world. Thanks to the devoted netizens, another famous face of the gram, Jacob Wohl has been called out for pretending to travel the world on his Instagram. And it is not the only instance. Here are three other times, when attention-seeking influencers shameless tricked their followers with fake pictures on the gram.

Far-right conspiracy theorist, best known for attacking Democratic politicians, Wohl posted two separate photos of himself on his Instagram. Both the pictures were supposedly taken in two different countries—Minsk (Belarus) and Tel Aviv (Israel). Twitter user @NikkiMcR pointed out an odd similarity between the two photos: a fence. Now he is the subject of online mockery! The moment Wohl learned about this, he reportedly made his account private. But he has since made it public, again.

Check Out the Pictures:

As we said, this is not the first time that influencers fooled their loyal followers by uploading fake pictures of themselves. To our recent memory, at least two influencers were caught tricking the photos: Casey Sosnowki and Tupi Saravia.

Casey Sosnowki

Casey Sosnowki uploaded a picture of herself dressed in athletic attire posing between the trees with an inspirational caption. Her post hinted that she was out on a hike, enjoying nature. But her sister exposed that the photo was taken in their backyard. The revelation started a fun banter on Twitter.

Tupi Saravia

Tupi Saravia, who is extremely popular online to share incredible travel photos on Instagram, also caught fooling her more than 280k followers. Social media industry commentator, Matt Navarra noticed the same cloud that appeared in all her photos wherever in the world she travelled. After the incident, Saravia confessed to BuzzFeed News that she loves photoshopping her pictures and never hide about it to her followers. However, she denied all the allegations of faking her travel photos.

Johanna Olsson was slammed for photoshopping her entire Paris trip on Instagram in a painfully “obvious” manner. In one image, the Swedish native appears to be floating on a bridge over the River Seine, and in another, she poses at an outdoor bistro. Both the pictures were ridiculed online by people trolling Olsson for such obvious photoshopping.

These instances have always proved that you should not believe everything you see on Instagram. The fine art of using photographic filter to turn the ordinary into the extraordinary is not new in the photo-sharing app. And we must be aware of it. Bali’s famous tourist spot, “Gates of Heaven,” was also revealed for not being the same as it looks on your Instagram feed. It is a photographer who uses a piece of glass to give the magnificent effect of the Gates of Heaven on a water body in pics.
