New Delhi, October 17: A mentally unstable man in Delhi had a narrow escape after he entered a Lion enclosure in the Delhi Zoo on Thursday. According to a tweet by ANI, the man entered the enclosure of a lion after climbing its metal grille. DCP (Southeast) informed that the man has been identified as Rehan Khan, a 28-yr-old man from Bihar. "He seems to be mentally unstable.He was immediately brought out without any injury", the DCP said.

The intruder was just inches away from death and was seen sitting at a spot in the zoo, despite seeing the Lion approaching him. Reports inform that the man entered s lion enclosure by mistake. In a chilling video that went viral on social media, the lion is seen progressively approaching the man while he sits in a grassy corner. The man is seen sitting without any fear of being attacked while the lion is spotted just inches away from him. The man, being mentally challenged, cannot understand the peril of entering the lion's enclosure.

A similar incident was reported from the Delhi zoo in the year 2014 where a mentally challenged young man was killed by a white tiger. Reports inform that the man was stopped by guards twice before he jumped into the enclosure. The zoo officials later claimed that the man has been a mental patient for four years.
