It is just in time for Halloween and looks like our source of light, the Sun is all prepared for the spooky fest too. NASA has released a rare picture of the sun so eerily illuminated that it resembles a Jack-o'-Lantern, the carved pumpkin for Halloween. There is a face in there, with two eyes and a creepy grin on the sun. Although it looks right into the spirit of Halloween, the image is actually taken from the year 2014. Halloween 2019: Spooky Halloween Facts About This Observance That Will Creep You Out.

People were also amazed to see this view of the sun, which we are only used to seeing as a ball of fire.

The space agency informed that this picture was taken on October 8, 2014. The flares are a result of ultraviolet lights from the active regions. "The active regions in this image appear brighter because those are areas that emit more light and energy," the statement says. They are also the mark of intense activity of magnetic fields hovering in the sun’s atmosphere. Halloween Pumpkin Decoration Ideas: Watch Videos to Make Crazy Creepy Jack O’Lanterns.
