Anupam Mittal, the founder of People Group and Shaadi.com, recently shared a post on LinkedIn featuring his daughter, Alyssa. In his post, the Shark Tank judge said that when his daughter Alyssa was born, they wanted to "decide" her middle name. "Traditionally in most parts of India, that’s not how it’s done. The father’s first name automatically gets passed down. And in case it’s a girl, it later gets replaced by her husband’s name," his post stated. Challenging traditional Indian naming conventions, Anupam Mittal said that instead of giving his daughter "Anupam" as her middle name, they named her "Alyssa Anantara." Speaking about the name Alyssa Antara, Mittal said that "Anantara" means limitless and is another name for Saraswati, the goddess of wisdom.
