A video circulating on the social media platform shows Shaikh’s sister standing outside Bangur Nagar police station in Goregaon, where she confirms that an FIR has been registered against her brother for allegedly assaulting her. In the video, she expresses her relief, stating, “Finally, my complaint has been registered by the police, and an FIR has been filed against my brother, who thrashed me.” Alongside her, activist Furkan Shaikh narrates how she approached him for assistance. While he initially advised her to resolve the issue privately due to the familial nature of the conflict, after understanding her ordeal, he accompanied her to the police station to ensure her case was filed.
