According to reports, around 48 lakh children in Karnataka will receive Japanese Encephalitis vaccine from December 5. The announcement was made by State Health Minister K Sudhakar. The decision comes amid rising number of japanese encephalitis cases in the state. As per reports, the state has witnessed an increase and decreases in Japanese encephalitis cases in the past five years with this year alone recording 21 cases till October.
