Reportedly, the convention centre, which spans 10 acres, was constructed in the buffer zone of Thammidi Kunta Lake, leading to ongoing disputes over its legality. According to the Executive Engineer of the North Tank Division, the N-Convention encroaches on approximately 1.12 acres of Full Tank Level (FTL) area and 2 acres of the lake’s buffer zone.
