Serum Institute of India Received Orders For 26 Crore Doses of COVID-19 Vaccine Covishield From Centre, Says Adar Poonawalla

Serum Institute of India (SII) CEO Adar Poonawalla on Monday said that the drug manufacturing company had received an order for 26 crore doses of COVID-19 vaccine Covishield from the Centre. Poonawalla's statement came after the Heath Ministry refuted reports alleging that the Centre had not placed orders for COVID-19 vaccines. The ministry called these reports incorrect.
