Union Minister Giriraj Singh was attacked during a Janta Darbar in Balia, Begusarai district, Bihar, on Saturday. The attacker, Mohammad Saifi, a ward councillor, attempted to punch Singh after seizing the microphone and making objectionable remarks. Amid the chaos, Saifi tried to strike Singh, but the minister narrowly escaped unharmed. Police swiftly intervened, taking Saifi into custody. An investigation is underway to determine his motives. Responding to the attack, Singh declared he would not be intimidated, stating, "I will always fight for the interests of society. I am not scared by these attacks." Singh also criticised those who, according to him, are fostering communal tension in the country.
