In Muzaffarpur, people caught hold of a young man disguised as a monk and beat him up. Some people in the crowd kept asking his name and kept beating him with slippers and shoes. They even tore his clothes. The young man kept pleading to be saved, but people did not agree. People alleged that the young man had come in the guise of a monk along with his companion. Entering a house, they started running away with the ornaments when he was caught.
