Indian Men’s Hockey Team Loses 1–2 to Belgium at Paris Olympics 2024, Suffers First Defeat Of Competition
Harmanpreet Kaur and co lost their fourth Pool B match against Belgium despite taking the lead in this match. India have already qualified for the men's hockey quarterfinals.
The Indian men's hockey team suffered a 1-2 defeat to Belgium in their Pool B encounter at the Paris Olympics 2024 on Thursday, August 1. India obtained the lead in this match through Abhishek in the second quarter but Belgium levelled the score through Arthur De Sloover and later, completed the comeback through John-John Dohmen. Both of Belgium's goals came in the third quarter. India did have some opportunities to equalise but failed to do so as they suffered a loss at the hands of the defending Olympic champions. With this, India have lost their first match of the competition.
