The legendary track and field athlete was nominated to the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday. PM Modi, in a bid to congratulate her, penned a note for her and shared a picture on his social media.
Iconic athlete PT Usha was on Wednesday, nominated to the Rajya Sabha. She was then congratulated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Taking to social media, Modi wrote, "The remarkable PT Usha Ji is an inspiration for every Indian. Her accomplishments in sports are widely known but equally commendable is her work to mentor budding athletes over the last several years. Congratulations to her on being nominated to the Rajya Sabha."
