During ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 clash between West Indies and Sri Lanka on Monday, the latter defeated the former by 23 runs after Nicholas Pooran failed to take West Indies to the 339-run target in spite of slamming a century (118 off 103). The Caribbean side could only reach 315/9 in 50 overs, after Avishka Fernando (104), Kusal Perera (64) and Lahiru Thirimanne (45) took Sri Lanka to a massive total of 338/6 while batting first. Sri Lanka won the match and kept their chances alive to reach the semi-finals of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.
