The first game of the Indian Premier League 2019 will begin in the next few hours. However, ahead of their first match against Kolkata Knight Riders tomorrow, Sunrisers Hyderabad has suffered a massive blow as Kane Williamson has not yet reported to Hyderabad as he has been suffering from a shoulder injury. Now, in absence of Williamson, Indian pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar was sent for the official photograph of the Indian Premier League, which featured the eight captains of each franchise. Williamson has suffered from a grade tear to his left pectoral minor muscle and is expected to miss the first few games for SRH. The Kiwi skipper had suffered from an injury during the second test against Bangladesh. Talking about the official photograph of the IPL, it featured Dinesh Karthik of Kolkata Knight Riders, MS Dhoni of Chennai Super Kings, Virat Kohli of Royal Challengers Bangalore, Rohit Sharma of Mumbai Indians, Ajinkya Rahane of Rajasthan Royals, Ravichandran Ashwin of Kings XI Punjab, Shreyas Iyer of Delhi Capitals were present for the occasion. Now, the SRH dropped a major hint which stated that Bhuvneshwar Kumar could lead the team in Williamson’s absence. Prior to this, Sunrisers Hyderabad mentor VVS Laxman had said that Williamson will be donning the role of a captain for the upcoming season. “Kane is an outstanding batsman and also a highly respected international player. He has stepped in for us last year and has shown good leadership qualities," Laxman was quoted as saying by Times of India.
