BCCI on Thursday, August 29 announced the Indian squad for three T20Is against South Africa. The team will be led by Virat Kohli. MS Dhoni was again not part of the team. Almost the same squad of West Indies tour 2019 was selected for South Africa home T20I series. Hardik Pandya, who was given complete rest during India vs West Indies tour 2019, became part of the Indian squad again. Rest of the team remained the same. Youngsters like Khaleel Ahmed, Deepak Chahar, Navdeep Saini and Rahul Chahar were again given a chance. MS Dhoni Not to Be Part of India vs South Africa 2019 T20I Series in September, Claim Reports.

Virat Kohli (Captain), Rohit Sharma (VC), KL Rahul, Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer, Manish Pandey, Rishabh Pant (WK), Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Krunal Pandya, Washington Sundar, Rahul Chahar, Khaleel Ahmed, Deepak Chahar and Navdeep Saini. MS Dhoni Will Not be There in Team India for Long and Indian Cricket Should Be Prepared for That, Says Sourav Ganguly. 

MS Dhoni, who had made himself unavailable for India vs West Indies tour 2019, is again not part of the South Africa series. As the former Indian skipper has already retired from Tests, he is not going to be part of the full tour, which consists of Test series as well. MS Dhoni spent time with the Indian Army contingent from July 30 to August 15 in Kashmir. He undertook Army patrol duties during the time.

South Africa's tour of India 2019 will start on September 15, 2019. The tour will consist of three T20Is and three Tests. The first T20I be played on September 15, 2019.
