Cape Town, February 24: After being asked to bat first by South African captain JP Duminy, Indian team managed a competitive total of 172/7 in the series-decider third and final T20I at Newlands Stadium. Heading into the match, the Men in Blue have suffered a big blow as they will be without their star captain Virat Kohli, who is suffering from a stiff back. In absence of injured Kohli, Indian opener Rohit Sharma is leading the side but his batting woes continued after Junior Dala removed him after scoring 11 off eight deliveries. Suresh Raina played a quick innings scoring 43 runs off 27 deliveries along with Dhawan who made 47 runs off 40 deliveries. Dinesh Karthik who came to bat at the skipper Kohli's position made 13 runs off six deliveries.

Having won the five-match ODI series already, India will aim to return home with two trophies. The three-match T20I series is currently tied at 1-1. India won the first game by 28 runs in Johannesburg but tasted six-wicket defeat in the second after extraordinary innings from Henrich Klaasen and JP Duminy.

It will be a T20I debut for India at Newlands as the tourists have never played the shortest format of the game here. South Africa, on the other hand, have lost five of the eight games played at the venue.
