Bangladesh vs Pakistan Highlights And Cricket Score Super Four - 6 Match - ODI Commentary

End of Over : 48.5 BAN: 239/10

Now, the game can still go either way. 240 isn't a farfetched target, but Pakistan haven't exactly been firing with the bat. Conversely, Bangladesh don't have Shakib on this turning wicket. So, all the ingredients at hand make it a potentially good run chase. Join us on the other side of the break for all the action.

Junaid Khan, who is up for an interview, starts by thanking the almighty. Admits there was pressure on him as it was a virtual semi-final but it all went well. Ends by saying he used the bouncer as a surprise delivery and it worked well for him.

Pakistan were rather lacklustre in the middle overs, especially surprising given their powerful start with the ball. Junaid Khan was the standout performer as he finished with 4/19, Shaheen Afridi and Hasan Ali picked two each and Shadab Khan bagged 1 for himself. Plenty of things were wrong, particularly the captaincy, as Sarfraz's body language seemed off and he looked frustrated throughout, which was impacting his bowlers.

Pretty even as things stands to be honest. 250 is a winning score here and Bangladesh have managed to trudge close to it at least. Pakistan started off well picking early wickets and reduced the Tigers to 12/3, but once again it was Rahim (who narrowly missed out on a ton) and Mithun (who scored a fifty) to the rescue again. Their 144-run stand brought things back in their side's favour and it looked like Bangladesh would post a big one on the board. However, wickets falling at regular intervals and the inability of the lower middle order to capitalize results in Bangladesh ending just under 240.

48.5 W

Hasan Ali to Mashrafe Mortaza. OUT! BANGLADESH HAVE BEEN BOWLED OUT FOR 239! A good comeback in the death from Pakistan. Slower one again, Mortaza swings and miscues it as he doesn't judge it right. It skies towards Zaman at long on who settles under the ball and takes a safe catch.

Mustafizur Rahman is the last man in.

48.4 W

Hasan Ali to Rubel Hossain. OUT! Run out! The overs are finishing up, so the batsmen decided to take the risk. Didn't pay off on this occasion though. Rubel pushes this to the left of the bowler and both take off. Hasan Ali collects the ball, turns and has so much time to run back that he easily gets to the stumps and takes the bails off. They cross over so Rubel is the one who departs.

48.3 1

Hasan Ali to Mashrafe Mortaza. Punches this off the back foot on the off side for a single.

48.2 6

Hasan Ali to Mashrafe Mortaza. SIX! That's outta here! First maximum of the game and it's come off Mashrafe Mortaza's bat. The boundaries are big here but he's still managed to clear it. The off cutter on off, Mortaza backs away and gives everything he has on it. Gets it right off the meat and just about clears wide long on.

43.5 1

Shaheen Afridi to Mahmudullah. Chance of a run out! Risky, but it's paid off for the batsmen. Mahmudullah punches it to Zaman at extra cover and takes off. The fielder lines it up and has a shy at the bowler's end. Misses and the batsmen complete the run without any problem.

43.4 1

Shaheen Afridi to Mehidy Hasan. Comfortably done. Hasan waits for this one, sees it well outside off. So, he opens the face of the blade and guides it to third man to rotate strike.

43.3 1

Shaheen Afridi to Mahmudullah. Takes the pace off this one and pitches it full. It's coming in and catches the batsman on the pads. A leg bye is taken as the ball rolls over on the leg side.

42.1 4

Shadab Khan to Mehidy Hasan. FOUR! Short and flat outside off, Mehidy Hasan is on the back foot to cut and executes the shot well too. Places it through point and sends it across the boundary line.

End of Over : 42 10 Runs BAN: 202/6
41.6 4

Shaheen Afridi to Mahmudullah. FOUR! That's crunched! A lot of power on that from Mahmudullah. Full and angling in on off from around the wicket, the batsman stays leg side, goes inside out and hammers it through the covers. The sweeper can't get to it, it's hit that powerfully. Super shot. The 200 comes up for the Tigers.

41.5 1

Shaheen Afridi to Mehidy Hasan. Off the mark. Mehidy works it through mid-wicket for a single.

Mehidy Hasan is the new man in.

41.4 W

Shaheen Afridi to Mushfiqur Rahim. OUT! Rahim misses out on a magnificent hundred. Heartbreak for the little man, he fully deserved it. Full and just outside off, it shapes away ever so late, ever so little. But, it's enough to do Rahim in. He comes forward to drive it through the covers but gets a feather behind. Sarfraz takes a regulation catch and dismisses his opposite number. A good knock though from Mushfiqur, has done a wonderful job for his side yet again, even if he would be feeling disappointed having missed out on staying till the end.

41.3 0

Shaheen Afridi to Mushfiqur Rahim. Full on off driven back to the bowler.

41.2 4

Shaheen Afridi to Mushfiqur Rahim. FOUR! Moves to 99 with that! Streaky runs, but he'll take it all the same. Length ball outside off, Rahim hangs his bat out and it goes through the vacant slip cordon. Sarfraz dives to his right but can't reach it. Boundary results.

39.6 0

Shaheen Afridi to Mushfiqur Rahim. A yorker to end the over. Rahim gets his bat down in time and jams it out.

Shaheen Afridi is back.

End of Over : 39 5 Runs BAN: 181/5
38.6 1

38.2 2

Shadab Khan to Mushfiqur Rahim. In the air... but lands in no man's land! A full toss on middle, Rahim goes for the slog sweep but the ball takes the top edge. Due to the big grounds here, difficult for a mistimed shot to carry to the fielder in the deep. It lands well short of the long on fielder and the batsmen take two.

38.1 0

Shadab Khan to Mushfiqur Rahim. Shortish again on off, Rahim mistimes his cut towards cover-point.

End of Over : 38 7 Runs BAN: 176/5
37.6 0

Mohammad Nawaz to Mahmudullah. Two dots to end as Mahmudullah guides it to the man at point.

37.5 0

Mohammad Nawaz to Mahmudullah. Slower through the air outside off, it drifts in. Mahmudullah goes for the cut but chops it to the keeper. That was too close for that shot to be played.

37.4 1

Mohammad Nawaz to Mushfiqur Rahim. Slower through the air on middle, MR flicks it towards backward square leg and moves to a total which is considered unlucky by the Aussies. The fielder there does have a shy at the non-striker's end but misses. There is a chance of an overthrow, but the batsmen do not take it.

37.3 1

Mohammad Nawaz to Mahmudullah. Mahmudullah does the smart thing by nudging it around the corner for a run.

37.1 4

Mohammad Nawaz to Mushfiqur Rahim. FOUR! Welcome back into the attack. It is a poor ball to start with, short and it sits up to be hit. Rahim goes back quickly and pulls it over mid-wicket and the ball races away. He now is 15 short of a ton.

Mohammad Nawaz is back on. Spin from both ends now.

End of Over : 37 2 Runs BAN: 169/5

36.2 1

Shadab Khan to Mahmudullah. Flatter on off, Mahmudullah guides it through point for a run.

Mahmudullah is the new man in.

36.1 W

Shadab Khan to Imrul Kayes. OUT! A huge appeal and it has been given! The bowling change has worked wonders as Shadab Khan has struck on the very first ball of his new spell. Two wickets in quick succession here and Bangladesh have half their side back in the hut. It is the leg spinner from the leggie around off, it pitches and turns back in a touch. Kayes tries to work it with the turn but misses. The ball hits him on the back pad. The players appeal and the umpire agrees. Kayes walks upto Rahim and has a chat but then does not review. Rightly so as that looked out and Hawk Eye confirms that. The hero of the last game walks back cheaply.

Shadab Khan is brought back.

End of Over : 36 4 Runs BAN: 167/4
35.6 0

Hasan Ali to Mushfiqur Rahim. Back of a length on off, Rahim stands tall and defends it to point.

Hasan Ali to Imrul Kayes. Another miscue but runs on offer! Kayes lofts this full ball over covers, not off the middle but hit well enough to get a brace.

35.3 1

Hasan Ali to Mushfiqur Rahim. The indipper on middle, Rahim with the swing, works it to mid-wicket and gets to the other end. He needs to stay there till the end if Bangladesh are to get to a very good total.

35.2 0

Hasan Ali to Mushfiqur Rahim. Played to the point region by the batsman.

35.1 0

Hasan Ali to Mushfiqur Rahim. Around off, kept out.

34.6 1

Shaheen Afridi to Mushfiqur Rahim. Rahim guides it down to third man and gets to the other end.

34.5 1

Shaheen Afridi to Imrul Kayes. Now shuffles across and works it through mid-wicket for a run.

34.4 4

Shaheen Afridi to Imrul Kayes. FOUR! Just over! Kayes has come out with intent here! You give him room, he will go after it. This was on a length outside off, Kayes goes after it. Hits it uppishly but over the cover fielder for a boundary.

34.3 0

Shaheen Afridi to Imrul Kayes. The batsman defends it from within the crease.

34.2 0

Shaheen Afridi to Imrul Kayes. Back of a length on off, Kayes pushes it to covers.

34.1 0

Shaheen Afridi to Imrul Kayes. Loose shot again! 2 out of the 3 balls he has faced have been poor shots. This is slightly short outside off, Kayes goes for the cut shot with no foot movement but gets beaten.

End of Over : 34 5 Runs BAN: 157/4
33.6 1

Hasan Ali to Imrul Kayes. Off the mark with a single. He flicks this ball towards wide mid on and takes a run.

33.5 0

Hasan Ali to Imrul Kayes. BEATEN! Almost another one! Not sure if it was a smart shot to play first up. Full and wide outside off, the sucker ball. Kayes goes after it but gets beaten.

Imrul Kayes is the new man in. He played an excellent innings in the last game. Something of the same is what Bangladesh would hope.

33.4 W

Hasan Ali to Mohammad Mithun. OUT! CAUGHT AND BOWLED! Hasan Ali has broken the 144-run stand. Relief for Pakistan, they needed this wicket and this should probably lift their body language a little now. Ali bowls it on the stumps, Mithun goes for the pull across the line and that brings about his downfall. The ball takes the top edge and goes high up in the air. Hasan calls for it and takes it. He is ecstatic, the whole of the Pakistan team is. Nevertheless, Mithun walks back after playing a very good innings. However, he would have liked to have added more. His partnership though with Rahim has laid the foundation.

33.3 0

Hasan Ali to Mohammad Mithun. The batsman has pushed it to the cover region.

33.2 3

Hasan Ali to Mushfiqur Rahim. Up and over! Not a boundary but three runs. A little too full by Hasan. Rahim flicks it over mid on. The ball slows after landing near the fence. The fielder from that position runs back and the batsmen run three.

33.1 1

Hasan Ali to Mohammad Mithun. Slightly shorter in length on off, the batsman drops it towards cover for a run.

Hasan Ali is back on.

End of Over : 33 4 Runs BAN: 152/3
32.6 0

Shaheen Afridi to Mushfiqur Rahim. Hits the back of a length area around off, Rahim guides it to point.

GOING BACK HOME!!! Well, well, well - reports are filtering in that Shakib al Hasan is returning to Dhaka. So, if Bangladesh make it to the final, they will miss him on Friday too. That finger injury is costing him and his team big time.

32.5 0

Shaheen Afridi to Mushfiqur Rahim. In the air... but safe! The slower bumper on middle, Rahim goes for the pull but mistimes it. It is in the air for a while but lands well short of mid-wicket.

32.4 0

Shaheen Afridi to Mushfiqur Rahim. Around off, the batsman defends it onto the ground.

32.3 2

Shaheen Afridi to Mushfiqur Rahim. Very full but on the pads, Rahim flicks it through mid-wicket. He runs one, goes for the second. The throw is fired to the keeper who collects it and appeals but the batsman has made it in with ease. Lovely running that.

32.2 1

Shaheen Afridi to Mohammad Mithun. Back of a length on off, Mithun guides it down to third man and the batsmen take a run. 150 is up and they now have a good platform set for the batters left.

32.1 1

Shaheen Afridi to Mushfiqur Rahim. On the shorter side, this one hurries onto the batter. Rahim goes for the pull but the ball hits him on the glove and goes towards mid-wicket for a run.

End of Over : 32 5 Runs BAN: 148/3
31.6 4

Junaid Khan to Mohammad Mithun. FOUR! Stand and deliver! Excellent shot! It is slightly short on off, Mithun picks the length early and pulls it over wide mid on. No one in the deep and the ball crosses the fence. Spoils a very good over.

31.5 0

Junaid Khan to Mohammad Mithun. Another bouncer, Mithun ducks under it.

31.4 0

Junaid Khan to Mohammad Mithun. Good length on off, the batsman is solid in defense.

31.3 0

Junaid Khan to Mohammad Mithun. The batsman has played that off the front foot and into the ground.

31.2 1

Junaid Khan to Mushfiqur Rahim. Another ball on the pads, Rahim works it down to fine leg for a run.

31.1 0

Junaid Khan to Mushfiqur Rahim. Works it with the angle to square leg.

DRINKS! Bangladesh are motoring along quite well at the moment. They have two set batsmen out there and the run rate is also fine. Pakistan on the other hand, need wickets or they will be staring down a big target here. Also, the skipper seems to be losing his cool. He is getting frustrated with almost every run being scored and that is definitely not helping his bowlers. Needs to keep his cool. Bangladesh are playing well but you never know. Rahim is getting tired as well. They might lose a wicket and that might open the floodgates.

End of Over : 31 5 Runs BAN: 143/3
30.6 0

Shaheen Afridi to Mohammad Mithun. A huge appeal but not given! Would have been an unfortunate dismissal had that been given. This is down the leg side, like the last 5 balls. Mithun goes for the flick but he seems to have missed it. The ball brushes the pads and goes into the mitts of the keeper. The players appeal but the umpire stays put.

30.5 1

Shaheen Afridi to Mushfiqur Rahim. Another bumper on middle, this time it does not rise. Rahim hits it towards fine leg for a run.

30.4 1

Shaheen Afridi to Mohammad Mithun. Nicely pulled! Mithun has played well off the back foot. He stands tall, swivels and pulls it all along the ground towards deep square leg for a run.

30.3 1

Shaheen Afridi to Mushfiqur Rahim. Fuller again on middle, Rahim against the angle works it towards wide mid on and takes a run.

30.2 1

Shaheen Afridi to Mohammad Mithun. On the pads again, Mithun misses the flick, the ball brushes the pads, rolls towards the leg side and the batsmen run a leg bye.

30.1 1

Shaheen Afridi to Mushfiqur Rahim. Starts off with a rib-tickler, Rahim pulls it off the gloves down towards fine leg for a run.

Shaheen Afridi back on to bowl as well.

End of Over : 30 2 Runs BAN: 138/3
29.6 0

Junaid Khan to Mohammad Mithun. Angling in on leg, worked behind square on the leg side defensively. Tensions are rising, much like the temperature, in the middle. There's an exchange of words between Junaid and Mithun. Nothing seems too serious though, not yet anyway.

29.5 0

Junaid Khan to Mohammad Mithun. Shaping in at first and then straightening up off the surface, played back to the bowler. Junaid collects the ball and gives the batsman a big stare, Mithun responds in kind. No backing down from him.

29.4 0

Junaid Khan to Mohammad Mithun. Stays inside the crease, comes maybe half-forward and defends it again, this time in front of covers.

29.3 0

Junaid Khan to Mohammad Mithun. Ahead of a length, on the stumps, Mithun is half-forward as he defends it.

29.2 0

Junaid Khan to Mohammad Mithun. Uses the angle into him by working it to mid-wicket. Moved inside the line and closed the face to play at that.

29.1 2

Junaid Khan to Mohammad Mithun. Short ball angling in on middle and leg, Mithun is hurried onto the pull and as a result, gets a top edge. It flies to fine leg and lands safely. Two to the total.

Sarfraz is once again seen having a word with the umpires. He has a problem with Rahim taking constant breaks. Probably has a point too, as Mushfiqur has been doing it after every over for the past 4-5 overs.

End of Over : 29 10 Runs BAN: 136/3
28.6 0

Hasan Ali to Mushfiqur Rahim. Patted away from within the crease, but it's too close to the fielder.

28.5 1

Hasan Ali to Mohammad Mithun. Tap and run stuff from Mithun. Drops it down on the off side with soft hands and calls for it. His partner responds and both complete the run with ease.

28.4 4

Hasan Ali to Mohammad Mithun. FOUR! 2nd ODI fifty for Mohammad Mithun! Brings it up in style too. Short ball, he rises, gets on top of the ball and pulls it with aplomb through the mid-wicket area, beating the man in the deep. Superb stuff. He'll want to carry on and score a big one.

28.3 1

Hasan Ali to Mushfiqur Rahim. In control of this one. Pulled away through square leg for a single.

28.2 4

Hasan Ali to Mushfiqur Rahim. Top edge and FOUR! Hasan Ali has been a bit unlucky through this innings so far. Banged short and Rahim gives the charge. Takes the pull on and it goes off the top edge over Sarfraz's head for a boundary.

With the whole world having a go at Sarfraz' captaincy, VVS Laxman on air has a soft corner for him. He reminds us all that cricket is a team game - not just dependent on one person. 'What is Shoaib Malik doing? What is Babar Azam doing?' He stresses further that a good team has excellent core players. The seniors need to come in with their thoughts and help their skipper with ideas and suggestions. Meanwhile, Sarfraz is not too happy with Rahim constantly taking breaks. He is getting visibly irritated. Probably, the umpires will take a call if the number of breaks increases.

28.1 0

Hasan Ali to Mushfiqur Rahim. Back of a length on off, keeps it tight and that's how he should continue, because it's forced Rahim to block it to point. Dot ball.

End of Over : 28 4 Runs BAN: 126/3
27.6 0

Junaid Khan to Mohammad Mithun. Another length ball and another defensive shot presented. End of the over.

27.5 0

Junaid Khan to Mohammad Mithun. Good length delivery coming in, defended with a straight blade in response.

27.4 0

Junaid Khan to Mohammad Mithun. Pounds it in hard, the bouncer, no shot offered by the batsman.

27.3 1

20.1 0

Mohammad Nawaz to Mohammad Mithun. An lbw appeal! Going down leg perhaps. Though this is a much closer call, the review might have been better utilized on this occasion. Nawaz darts it on leg and it straightens up a touch. Mithun gets low to sweep but is rapped on the front pad. Hawk Eye later on shows, it would have clipped the leg pole. Umpire's call which means even if they would have had a review, it would not have made a difference.

End of Over : 20 5 Runs BAN: 83/3

15.5 4

Shadab Khan to Mushfiqur Rahim. FOUR! Clever, very clever. Brings up the 50-run stand with a cheeky shot. Again, the key here is, he gets into the position early and reverse sweeps it very fine on the off side and the ball races away. Not letting Shadab settle here is Rahim and rightly so. Also, a timely stand this, they were in big trouble when the two joined association and now slowly the duo is taking Bangladesh out of trouble.

15.4 0

15.1 0

Shadab Khan to Mushfiqur Rahim. The googly to start with, Rahim lunges and blocks.

Shadab Khan is into the attack.

DRINKS! So Pakistan on top after the first 15 overs. They managed to take three early wickets but since then, Rahim and Mithun have done well to steady the ship. The two are playing sensibly and Bangladesh would want them to continue.

End of Over : 15 7 Runs BAN: 55/3
14.6 4

Shoaib Malik to Mohammad Mithun. FOUR! Slapped! An excellent way to end the over! This was short and it was asking to be hit. Mithun does exactly that as he hits it hard through covers and the ball races away. 43 is now the partnership between the two.

14.1 1

Shoaib Malik to Mushfiqur Rahim. With the turn, Rahim nudges it towards mid-wicket and gets to the other end.

Shoaib Malik is into the attack. A strange bowling change to be honest, with two right-handers out there, not something you see often.

Hmmmm... two sweeps by Mushy in that over. Not quite happy, is Dean Jones on air. He observes that strangely, batsmen sweep a lot in Dubai but not here. Rahim has tried to do that a bit so far with some success. The longer he bats, the more brooms shall we see, I daresay.

End of Over : 14 8 Runs BAN: 48/3
13.6 1

Mohammad Nawaz to Mushfiqur Rahim. On the shorter side again, Rahim slaps it through covers and retains strike.

12.4 0

Hasan Ali to Mushfiqur Rahim. Better! On the stumps, Rahim pushes it back past the bowler. He takes a start, the non-striker responds. But just in time Rahim asks him to return. The fielder at mid on does have a shy but misses. Even if he hit, Mithun would have made it back.

12.2 1

10.5 4

Hasan Ali to Mohammad Mithun. EDGED AND FOUR! Not good captaincy this, there should be a slip in place, especially with the opposition in trouble. Hasan bowls it around off, it swings away a touch. Mithun goes for the booming drive but gets an outside edge through the vacant slip cordon for a boundary.

10.4 1

Hasan Ali to Mushfiqur Rahim. Too easy! Once again it is bowled outside off, Rahim opens the face of his bat and guides it down to third man for a single.

Hasan Ali to Mohammad Mithun. The length was better this time but again, width is on offer outside off. Mithun plays it down to third man for a run.

10.2 1

Hasan Ali to Mushfiqur Rahim. Very full outside off, Rahim drives it crisply through covers for a run. Hasan is bowling a little too full and also offering width. He needs to be a little more straighter.

10.1 1

Hasan Ali to Mohammad Mithun. Good length around off, Mithun plays it nicely as he guides it at the very last moment through short third man for a single.

Time for Powerplay 2! Now 4 fielders can be placed outside the ring till the 40th over.

End of Over : 10 1 Runs BAN: 27/3

9.4 0

Mohammad Nawaz to Mohammad Mithun. Full and straight from the spinner, pushed back down the track.

9.2 0

Mohammad Nawaz to Mohammad Mithun. Stays right behind the line and blocks it out.

9.1 0

Mohammad Nawaz to Mohammad Mithun. Safe! As expected, it's clearly going down leg. Poor call from the skipper Sarfraz to even discuss the review, let alone take it. Sliding in on leg and it keeps going down with the angle, Mithun looks to put bat on ball but doesn't make connection and is hit on the pads. An appeal follows but the umpire doesn't bother. Sarfraz speaks with Nawaz and after some thinking, the 'T' is signalled. Strange. Replays roll in and show the ball is missing the leg stump by a big margin. Pakistan lose their only review.

The DRS is taken by Pakistan. It's for an lbw call and Mohammad Mithun is the man in question. Looks to be going down leg to the naked eye. Might be a poor call. Let's see...

Second change made as Mohammad Nawaz is into the bowling attack as well.

End of Over : 9 7 Runs BAN: 26/3
8.6 0

Hasan Ali to Mushfiqur Rahim. Plants his front foot forward and drives the fuller length ball to covers.

5.1 0

Shaheen Afridi to Mushfiqur Rahim. A hint of inward movement as it lands on middle and off, Rahim defends it down on the off side from within the crease.

End of Over : 5 0 Runs BAN: 12/3
4.6 0

Junaid Khan to Mohammad Mithun. Sharp bumper. Takes Mithun by surprise but the batsman just about manages to avoid it.

Mohammad Mithun to bat next. He walks in with his side in trouble.

4.2 W

Junaid Khan to Liton Das. OUT! Wow. That's beautiful bowling. Superb stuff. The change in angle does the trick. What a ball. Junaid angles it in but then gets it to straighten up significantly. Das plays down the wrong line and that becomes his undoing. The ball whizzes past the outside edge and much like with Mominul, his off stick goes flying behind. Superb delivery. This is the kind of spark Pakistan were seemingly lacking in the previous games.

4.1 0

Junaid Khan to Liton Das. Comes from around the wicket to Das and angles in a length delivery on off, it's blocked down the track by getting behind the line.

End of Over : 4 7 Runs BAN: 12/2
3.6 0

Shaheen Afridi to Mushfiqur Rahim. Banged in short and it's quite accurate too, Rahim leaves it alone.

Mushfiqur Rahim is the next batsman in.

3.5 W

Shaheen Afridi to Mominul Haque. OUT! That's what you call a response! Terrific stuff from the left-arm pacer. Got hit for a boundary off the previous delivery and responds by knocking his stumps over. Bowls it a touch fuller than a length and brings it in, it's at a decent pace but the movement does him in. It goes past the inside edge of Haque's bat, raps him on the pads and deflects onto the off stump behind, uprooting it. Bangladesh rocked early yet again.

3.4 4

Shaheen Afridi to Mominul Haque. FOUR! First boundary of the day! Super shot from Mominul Haque. Too full and quite straight from Shaheen Afridi, easy enough for the left-hander to lean ahead nicely and flick the half-volley through the mid-wicket region for a boundary.

3.3 1

Shaheen Afridi to Liton Das. Full ball straying on the pads, flicked through backward square leg for one more.

3.2 1

Mominul Haque walks in at no.3.

2.5 W

Junaid Khan to Soumya Sarkar. OUT! GONE! That's the first wicket down for Bangladesh. Junaid Khan strikes on his return to the XI, good start for him, not so much for Soumya Sarkar who's gone for a duck on his comeback into the side. Short ball around off, rising on the batsman too quickly and the pace probably gets him too. He takes on the pull shot and gets a top edge. It balloons towards mid-wicket where Fakhar Zaman comes in a few paces and gobbles a simple catch.

0.1 2

Junaid Khan to Liton Das. A little bit of swing in and Bangladesh are underway. Full and coming in on middle and leg, Liton Das flicks it ever so well in front of square leg for a couple of runs.

Done and dusted with the national anthems and the players make their way out to the middle. Liton Das and Soumya Sarkar are the openers for Bangladesh. The former will be on strike and he will face Junaid Khan who has the first new ball in hand. A slip in place for him. Here we go...

The players make their way out for their respective national anthems.

Sarfraz Ahmed says the conditions are different in the night but any score can be chased down here. Reckons the batsmen have to stick to their natural game and they will probably do well. Adds further that Bangladesh's batting is long and they will look to bowl them out quickly. informs there is one change as Junaid Khan comes in for Mohammad Amir.

Mashrafe Mortaza says it looks a good wicket to bat on. Mentions they lost a few wickets early in the last game and they are hoping for a good start this time. Admits the top order is struggling but they would hope they can do better. Informs they have quite a few changes as Nazmul Hossain Shanto is not playing and Soumya Sarkar comes in place of him. Adds Shakib Al Hasan is out as he is injured and Mominul Haque takes his place and Rubel Hossain comes in place of Nazmul Islam.

Toss - Up goes the coin and it lands in the favor of Bangladesh. They will bat first.

Pitch Report - Ramiz Raja says the boundaries are quite big on either side, so the spinners would be a little assured about the mishits not travelling all the way. Mentions there's a little bit of grass, but it will only hold the surface together and the wicket will be good for batting. Reckons the team winning the toss should bat first and get around 250 on the board. Ends by saying that use the new ball well under lights and then unleash the spinners in the second half.

Hello and welcome to the last game of the Super Four stage between Pakistan and Bangladesh. A lot is at stake here today as the winner goes through to take on India in the final. Both the teams will be eager to get over the finish line. The Tigers have momentum on their side but have struggled against Pakistan. However, the Men in Green have just not looked at their best in this tournament. They head into this game after a morale-deflating defeat and it would be interesting to see if they have recovered. They go into the match as favourites but you just can't rule Bangladesh out. Let us hope for another exciting encounter. Stay tuned.

End of Over : 50.0 PAK: 202/9

So that's it from us for the night. Bangladesh have stunned one and all by booking a place in the final with India. They have not played their best cricket but are still here. Tonight, they were spectacular but they need to be more than that when they take on the number 2 ODI team on Friday. That match will take place in Dubai on September 28, 2018 at 1530 local (1130 GMT). Hopefully, it is a cracker. ADIOS! TAKE CARE!

MUSHFIQUR RAHIM IS NAMED THE MAN OF THE MATCH. The wicket-keeper batsmen tates that Bangladesh were prepared to lose a couple of early wickets against a quality bowling attack o Pakistan but he and Mithun believed that once the new-ball passage was through, they can get runs in the middle overs. Credits his constant practice for playing strokes consistently and the almighty for helping him keep calm in tough situations.

Victorious Bangladesh captain, Mashrafe Mortaza, says that tonight they changed the bowling line-up a bit. Normally, he starts but he let Mustafizur take the new ball. Does not quite specify the reason but credits the entire bowling and fielding units. Hopes that his team produces this same performance on Friday in the final. On his flying catch to dismiss Malik, the modest skipper puts it down to luck and states that had he dropped that, Malik would have taken Pakistan home. On their big match against India, Mashrafe states that India are the number 1 team in the world while his own team would be without Tamim or Shakib. But still, they need to give their best and try and win the trophy.

Pakistan skipper, Sarfraz Ahmed, admits that he is not feeling happy at all. But says that if you do not play well, then you cannot win and takes the blame on himself for not leading from the front. Stressing on the weak aspects, he first points out to fielding, then bowling in the middle overs, not batting well consistently and eventually, spin bowling. On Fakhar Zaman's poor form, he agrees that the opener has been giving them good starts while Shadab and Hasan have been doing well in the middle overs but their batting collapses have hurt them the most. Is proud of the newbie Shaheen Afridi and reckons that it is a good prospect.

Not too long ago, Bangladesh fans were cursing their players after their big loss to India. But they have overcome all those comments and have stormed into the final. The bowling stood up once again, with the young Mustafizur falling just one short of a fifer. But the most underestimated bowlers of the evening - Mehidy Hasan, Mahmudullah and Soumya Sarkar - well, they were the main ones responsible for keeping the lid on the proceedings. Their collective figures were 25-1-85-4 with 82 dot balls. Excellent team performance. Please stay tuned for the presentation to see who gets the Man Of The Match award.

Credit has to be given to Pakistan though. They looked down and out at 94/5 but Imam and Asif staged another recovery. They nearly got the batting side on a path which could have led to victory. However, with 75 needed from 65 balls, Mehidy and Mahmudullah struck in successive overs to send both the set batsmen back and that sealed the chase.

Having kept Bangladesh to 239, the momentum was firmly with Pakistan. However, just like Bangladesh, they were reduced to 3 down in no time. Shoaib Malik and Imam-ul-Haq then tried to revive the innings but a Mashrafe special sent Malik back in the hut.

Comfortable win for Bangladesh. Their fourth in a row in ODIs over Pakistan. Who would have thought that? Right from the start of the tournament, the predictions have been an India-Pakistan final. Now, that script has changed.

Rubel Hossain to Junaid Khan. Full and outside off, Khan hits this down the ground. Initially, he does not run, because he thinks mid off will stop it. But then, the ball goes past the fielder. Mustafizur Rahman to Mohammad Nawaz. OUT! That is a cracking shot but the boundary is very large and the man pouches it in the deep. Pakistan are 9 down. A short ball, around middle, Nawaz gets hold of it and latches onto the pull. The sound made of the bat connecting with the ball is superb but as we have seen in this tournament, the boundaries are way too large. Nawaz gets the height but not the distance. Will Mashrafe get on his strike bowlers or just see this phase off?

3.5 1

Mustafizur Rahman to Shoaib Malik. RUN OUT, RUN OUT, RUN OUT, BUT MISSED! Oh dear... Mahmudullah is the fielder. Pakistan would have been 4 down in the 4th over. A length ball outside off, Malik pushes this wide of mid off and keeps on running. But Imam is in no mood to respond. He is busy watching Mahmudullah run across to his left. All of a sudden, both batsmen are close to shaking hands with one another and Rahim screams to his brother-in-law to throw the ball but Mahmudullah takes his eyes off the ball at a crucial moment and fumbles. The ball rolls behind and Imam now runs across to the other end. What a lucky break.

Shoaib Malik walks in at number 5, replacing his skipper.

Mustafizur Rahman to Sarfraz Ahmed. OUT! Edged and a fantastic catch has been taken! This game is alive and kicking. If Bangladesh were 12/3, Pakistan are 18/3. Will we see a revival as we saw in the first innings or are Bangladesh smelling victory already? Let us not talk about the future for now. Let us be in the present. This moment belongs to that man - who scored a magnificent 99 with the bat, was tired but still helped Bangladesh recover. This wicket belongs to him. Full and outside off, angling away, Sarfraz chases it away from his body and does not bother to move his feet much. A poor shot and he pays the price. The edge flies behind but so does Mushfiqur Rahim. He goes to his right and takes it brilliantly. The Pakistan captain has come and now the Pakistan captain has gone. Is the Asia Cup gone too?

3.2 4

Mustafizur Rahman to Sarfraz Ahmed. FOUR! Wrong line. Down the leg side, Sarfraz tickles it fine, towards the fence behind. There seems to be a fielder but he is very square.

3.1 1

Mustafizur Rahman to Imam-ul-Haq. On middle and leg, flicked through square leg for a single.

End of Over : 3 2 Runs PAK: 13/2

2.5 1

Mehidy Hasan to Imam-ul-Haq. Full and on the pads, flicked through mid-wicket for a single.

2.4 0

Mehidy Hasan to Imam-ul-Haq. Excellent fielding! They are on fire in the field and have their tails up. Full and outside off, Imam drives it through the covers and the ball races away but Liton Das at short extra dives full length to his left to stop that. Gets a bad bounce but he manages to collect, get up and then fire a throw to the keeper.

Mustafizur Rahman to Sarfraz Ahmed. Full again, flicked behind square on the leg side for a single.

1.3 4

Mustafizur Rahman to Sarfraz Ahmed. FOUR! LOVELY! The captain is off the mark in grand fashion. A bit of a half volley, outside off, Sarfraz comes forward and drives it through the covers. No stopping that.

1.3 wd

Mustafizur Rahman to Sarfraz Ahmed. WIDE. Plenty of swing for the Fizz. He lands this on a length but swings it down the leg side. Sarfraz looks to flick but misses. Good keeping by Rahim diving to his left.

The captain, Sarfraz Ahmed, walks in at number 4, replacing Babar.

1.2 W

Mustafizur Rahman to Babar Azam. OUT! LBW! Second wicket down for Pakistan and the Bangladesh fans are on fire!!! Terrific bowling. Mustafizur lands this on a length, around the line of the stumps, one would suppose. Babar is back in his crease to try and defend that but the ball skids off the surface and pings him on the back pad. Mustafizur, Mushfiqur and perhaps the whole of Bangladesh appeal. The umpire thinks for a while and then raises his finger! Babar walks over to Imam, has a bit of a chat but then, is on his way. No review taken. Hawk Eye shows that to be pitching in line and going on to clip the off stump. Umpire's call would have been the verdict if the review had been taken. Boy oh boy, the Men In Green are on top. Which one? You definitely know...

1.1 0

Mustafizur Rahman to Babar Azam. A length ball outside off, Azam looks to cut but gets a bottom edge to the off side.

Mustafizur Rahman to bowl with the second new ball.

End of Over : 1 3 Runs PAK: 3/1

Mehidy Hasan to Babar Azam. Azam eases this down to long on and takes a run. Ends a successful over for Bangladesh.

Babar Azam is the new man in.

0.5 W

Mehidy Hasan to Fakhar Zaman. OUT! In the air... taken! What a catch! That was travelling and Rubel has plucked that out of thin air. Take a bow! Bangladesh are up and running as they have got rid of the dangerous Zaman in the first over itself. Once again he falls prey to a spinner. He uses his feet and gets to the pitch of the ball. Hits it hard but uppishly towards mid on. He must have thought boundary as soon as he hit it, but it wasn't to be. Hossain there, times his leap to perfection and hangs onto it. Falls onto the ground after taking it. Fakhar Zaman walks back in disbelief and once again he does not trouble the scorers a lot.

0.4 1

Mehidy Hasan to Imam-ul-Haq. The arm ball on middle, Imam tries to defend but the ball goes off the inner half towards square leg for a run. He too is off the mark.

0.3 1

Mehidy Hasan to Fakhar Zaman. The pitch just might have quickened up under lights as once again it easily comes onto the bat. FZ punches it down to long off and Pakistan are off the mark.

0.2 0

Mehidy Hasan to Fakhar Zaman. Slower through the air this time, once again it skids on, good signs for the batsman. Zaman lunges and keeps it out.

0.1 0

Mehidy Hasan to Fakhar Zaman. Starts off with a flatter delivery on off, it skids through after pitching. Zaman cuts it to point.

We are back for the chase! The openers, Fakhar Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq make their way out to the middle. The former will be on strike and he will be facing a spinner first up. Mehidy Hasan has the first new ball in his hand. Here we go...
