Mumbai Indians vs Rajasthan Royals Highlights And Cricket Score 21th Match - T20 Commentary

End of Over : 20.0 MI: 167/7

Rajasthan then struck back by removing the two set batsmen. The platform was laid for the batsmen to come in next but they found run-scoring very difficult which saw them slipping big time. From 130/1, they were reduced to 159/6, thereby denying a good finish. Shreyas Gopal who has been very impressive in the tournament so far was taken to the cleaners tonight. Jofra Archer was outstanding on his debut as he finished with figures of 4-0-22-3 and ensured that Mumbai are well within the reach. He was well supported by the other pace bowlers. The wicket is a good one to bat on and they will surely back themselves to chase this down. Join us for the second innings in a short while.

So, an excellent comeback by Rajasthan towards the end, means that they would be holding the advantage going into the break. Exceptional death bowling from them, just too good! After being put into field, they got off to a brilliant start as Kulkarni got the early wicket of the dangerous Lewis. Kishan then joined forces with Yadav and the two stitched a 129-run stand for the second wicket to stage a comeback. Both of them notched up half centuries and when the two were batting, 200 looked well on course.

19.6 2

Ben Stokes to Kieron Pollard. Nope, he can't! Drags his flick off the inside edge down to fine leg and scampers across for a double to end the innings.

19.5 0

Ben Stokes to Kieron Pollard. Flicks a fuller ball towards square leg but doesn't run. Can Pollard finish with a biggie?

19.4 1

Ben Stokes to Kieron Pollard. What was that? Probably would have slipped out of his hands. Tries to bowl the slower back of the hand but ends up dolling out a full toss. It's takes Pollard aback who just leaves it alone.

19.3 0

Ben Stokes to Kieron Pollard. How close was that? Fuller and angling back in, Pollard swings across the line but is undone by the lack of pace on it. Goes very past the off stump.

19.2 2

Ben Stokes to Kieron Pollard. Mistimed but no harm done! Short of a length delivery on middle, Pollard looks to pull but mistimes it high in the air over mid-wicket. It lands safely in the deep and they take two.

19.1 0

Ben Stokes to Kieron Pollard. Good delivery! Swinging back in, yorker length. Pollard could just dig it out.

End of Over : 19 5 Runs MI: 158/7

Jofra Archer to Mayank Markande. No hat-trick as Markande plays it out well. This one is on middle. Markande flicks it towards square leg. He wants a run but Pollard does the smart thing as he refuses. He wants to keep strike for the next over. 18.5 W

Jofra Archer to Mitchell McClenaghan. OUT! BOWLED 'EM! Two-in-two and three in the over. Another brilliant yorker from Archer. This bloke is making a name for himself. 0.1 0

Dhawal Kulkarni will open the bowling for the home side. He has a slip in place. He generally relies on seam movement. Will he get some? Let us find out as he runs in to bowl...

Informs about a couple of changes for Rajasthan - Stuart Binny and Ben Laughlin make way for Dhawal Kulkarni and Jofra Archer (on debut).

Goes on to add that Kieron Pollard has been a crucial part of their team and they are backing him in spite of his poor form. Informs that they are going unchanged.

Toss - Rohit Sharma calls it correctly at the toss and MUMBAI WILL BAT!

Welcome, folks. After a thrilling finish in the last match, we are here with the second match of the evening. It's Rajasthan taking on Mumbai at home and they will be looking to get back to winning ways after a couple of back-to-back defeats. The hosts started the season on a bright note but seem to be losing steam now. Mumbai, on the other hand, lost their first three matches but then outclassed Bangalore in the last game. It would have given them the much-needed boost and they will now try to extend their winning form. Promises to be a good game.

End of Over : 19.4 RR: 168/7

That's it from us. Phew! What a Sunday we have had. Two games and both going right down to the wire. Earlier, Chennai managed to defend while in this one Mumbai failed to do the same. This win will surely boost Rajasthan's morale going forward. Tomorrow we have single games as Delhi will welcome Punjab in Feroz Shah Kotla. Do tune in at 2000 IST to catch all the action from the Northern Derby. Cheers!

Jofra Archer is the Man of the Match for his superb bowling display. He took three wickets in his last over and made sure that Mumbai don't get past the 170 mark. A Man of the Match Award on debut, what a perfect start to his Indian T20 League campaign.

Things tilted massively when Mumbai breached through the 72-run stand. Hardik Pandya removed Stokes and then that led to a collapse. From 110/3, all of a sudden Rajasthan slipped to 125/6 through sensational bowling from Bumrah and Rahman. 38 were needed required off 14 deliveries and just when everyone thought this game was over, a certain Gowtham stood up and played an innings to remember to take his side over the line. Mumbai, well they certainly need to buck up as this is the fourth time in the season that they have lost from a position that they should have won.

What a game we have had! Taking nothing away from Rajasthan as they have pulled off a heist from the jaws of defeat. The chase didn't start well for them as they lost both their openers cheaply but Ben Stokes and Sanju Samson joined forces to not only bring it back on track but were motoring along quite well with both scoring their respective fifties.

Another nail-biter where Mumbai finish on the losing side! They are making this a habit, a one they would not want to.

19.4 6

Hardik Pandya to Krishnappa Gowtham. SIX! He connects and connects one and it's off the meat. Krishnappa GOAT-HAM has done it for his side. Incredible hitting, 33 off just 11 balls and boy, he has struck at the strike rate of 300. Wow! Slower back of a length delivery, Krishnappa waits, waits and then flat-bats it over the deep mid-wicket fence for half a dozen. The entire Rajasthan team barge towards him and let out a huge roar. A THRILLING 3-WICKET VICTORY FOR THEM!

19.3 0

Hardik Pandya to Krishnappa Gowtham. FOUR! That will do! How smart is that act under pressure? Gowtham sees that the third man is up so what he does is, waits back, crouches a touch and with an angled blade he ramps it over the man there. A boundary results.

19.1 W

Hardik Pandya to Jofra Archer. OUT! A full swing of the bat, top edge and it's taken! Hardik Pandya does it all by himself. He digs in a short ball, it keeps climbing on Archer who has no option but to go after it. It takes the top edge and Pandya himself runs to his right and takes it.

Mustafizur Rahman to Heinrich Klaasen. OUT! Golden duck for Klaasen, he's the 4th man tonight to be in that unwanted list. All of a sudden the wheels have come off for Rajasthan. Mumbai are back in it. Rahman with a clever delivery, it's the cutter angling away at good pace. Klaasen without any feet movement looks to run it down but instead edges one behind.
