Right then. A washout in the first game. An Indian domination in the second. It was all about the visitors in the third as they manage to pull off an excellent will to level the three match T20I series. The two sides now will face off in the longer format of the game. The first one of the three Tests begins on October 2, 2019 at 0930 Local (0400 GMT). Join us for that game. Till then, take care!

Quinton starts by saying that they kept things simple. He adds that there was something on offer for both quick bowlers and the spinners and they used the conditions well. On the bowlers who took the pace off the ball, de Kock says that Hendricks read the conditions well and used the slower one well. De Kock says that their fielding was really good too and they were very focused.

Time for the Indian skipper now. On his decision of batting first, Kohli starts by saying that going into the T20 World Cup, they will continue to make decisions like that. Adds that the team is willing to do the hard work and that is good things. Praises the South African bowlers and adds that they lost the control of the game and never get it back. Kohli says that chasing has been become easier but only in T20 cricket as just a small partnership can help you win the game. He says that defending even 200 will be tougher if there is just a couple of good stands. On team selections, Kohli says that whosoever is playing the matches for the side have done well excellent work in the domestic arena. Adds that they would continue backing the youngsters and wants to give enough time to the young side.

Man of the match goes to Beuran Hendricks for his excellent bowling performance. On his bowling performances in both the games, Hendricks says that things worked well for him. Hendricks says that he has been working hard and delivered well. Adds that he doesn't look at the pitch much but he did get some assistance from this surface. He finishes by saying that one needs to be consistent with his lines and lengths to become a successful T20 bowler.

Temba Bavuma says he made his debut in T20Is when he did not expect it but he has worked hard and it has started off well. States you need to have the mindset to score quickly. Further adds he does not have the power like Gayle but his job is to keep the scoreboard ticking. On the six he hit in Mohali, he replies that he surprised himself and realized he can hit the ball a long way. Ends by saying they will get a lot of confidence after this win and it is important as there is a Test series coming up which is not going to be easy.

The Indian bowlers can't be blamed a lot as they did not have a lot to defend. They still could have been a lot better with their lines and lengths. In the end, you have to say, the Indians were outplayed in every department tonight. Stay tuned for the presentation in a while. Before that, Bavuma is giving an interview.

In the run chase, the South African openers, Quinton de Kock and Reeza Hendricks did an excellent job by adding 76 runs. They were helped by the Indian bowlers who were extremely poor. Every bowler, even the spinners were extremely short which made it easy for the batters to score the runs. Reeza Hendricks did fall after getting a start but de Kock continued and Bavuma also fulfilled his role. The two added another important stand and took their side over the line. De Kock looked absolutely fluent throughout the innings and apart from that missed review chance by the Indians, he did not offer any opening.

A comprehensive win for the South Africans. An excellent performance in a must-win game from them. Also, this is de Kock's first win as T20I skipper and he has played an integral part in it. However, a lot of credit has to be given to their bowlers as they set up the game for them. Brilliant efforts from Hendricks, who was brought into the team for this game, the two spinners and Rabada ensured they keep India to a total which was under par.

Summary

India will lock horns with South Africa in the 3rd and final T20I of the 3 match series. The action will take place at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. India currently leads the series by 1-0. Men in Blue won the last match at Mohali by chasing down the target of 150 runs with 7 wickets in hand. Virat Kohli played a handy knock in that game as he scored 72 runs from 52 balls.

The 1st T20I at Dharamsala was washed out due to rain and most likely rain will play a spoilsport in the 3rd T20I match between India and South Africa. If the match gets abandoned, India will be awarded the series. However, fans will want the Indian team to play and wrap the series by 2-0. If India wins the on-going series, it will be their maiden T20I victory against Proteas at home.
