West Indies vs Bangladesh Highlights And Cricket Score 2nd Match - ODI Summary

End of Over : 50.0 BAN: 268/6

So that is it from this nail-biter. The Windies have managed to level the series and the two teams now head to Warner Park, St Kitts for the decider on the 28th of July at 0930 local (1330 GMT). Till then, take care and goodbye.

Windies skipper, Jason Holder says he was nervous in the last over but his team supported him. Mentions Bangladesh got off to a good start but credits the way they fought back through Bishoo, Nurse and Paul. Appreciates Hetmyer for his knock and hopes he continues the good form. Finishes by saying he is excited for the third game.

Man of the Match, Shimron Hetmyer says it was great to score a ton in front of his family and his girlfriend. Adds that he wants to take one step at a time and see how it goes.

Bangladesh skipper, Mashrafe Mortaza says he feels the total was gettable even though the ball was turning a bit. Further adds the way the seniors played was very good but they could have been a little clinical. Ends by saying the fielding was not up to the mark and they hope to come out better in the next game.

With 14 needed off 12 balls and 6 wickets in hand, it's always going to be an advantage for the chasing team. But Keemo Paul bowled an excellent penultimate over where he gave away only 6 runs and also picked up the wicket of Sabbir Rahman. Jason Holder who had a rough day with the ball then took the onus on himself in the final over when 8 runs were needed for a win. He dismissed the dangerous Rahim first ball and then held his nerve to bowl five quality balls to earn a thrilling win for his team.

On a pitch providing good assistance to the spinners, Ashley Nurse and Devendra Bishoo tightened the noose and also picked the prized scalps of Tamim and Shakib. Just when the game appeared to be in the balance, the 87-run partnership between Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmudullah shifted the momentum in Bangladesh's favour. When the latter got run out, the equation was 40 off 29 balls which further became easier after the 48th over in which the visitors picked 13 runs.

After losing their way early in the innings, Windies managed to post a challenging total on the board all thanks to Shimron Hetmyer's ton and his century partnership with Rovman Powell. Bangladesh approached their chase like a train on fire. Anamul Haque set the tone early with his quickfire knock and then the experienced pair of Tamim Iqbal and Shakib Al Hasan took it forward. They raised a 97-run stand but it was a bit on the slower side which kept the hosts somewhere in the match.

Series is alive and kicking! What a terrific match! Windies have stolen victory from the jaws of defeat. Not for the first time Bangladesh have thrown it away at the climax. And not for the first time it's Mushfiqur Rahim in the thick of things. Remember their ICC World T20 game against India? It was going hunky-dory for the tourists but Windies maintained their composure under immense pressure and edged out the Bangla Tigers. Talk about choking and Men in Green.

49.6 1

Jason Holder to Mashrafe Mortaza. No! Terrific delivery again by Holder. He angles it full and around middle and leg, all Mortaza can do is to hit it down towards long on for a run. Holder screams in joy and has his hands up in celebration. He gets mobbed by his teammates. Skipper has delivered in a crunch situation. Leading from the front, over and over again. Take a bow! WINDIES WIN BY 3 RUNS!

49.5 1

Jason Holder to Mosaddek Hossain. A low full toss on middle, Hossain heaves it through mid-wicket for a single.

49.4 2

Jason Holder to Mosaddek Hossain. Aerial...over point! A length ball outside off, Mosaddek throws his bat at it and slices it in the air. The fielder runs back as it falls in front of him. Two taken, 6 more needed off 2 balls.

49.3 0

Jason Holder to Mosaddek Hossain. Holder handling the pressure superbly. Executes his skills with accuracy. Hits the yorker mark, Mosaddek digs it out back to the bowler. Now, the two batsmen come together to have a chat.

49.2 0

Jason Holder to Mosaddek Hossain. Beaten! You beauty, Holder. He takes the pace off this delivery and bowls it on a length outside off. Hossain pushes at it and misses.

49.1 W

Jason Holder to Mushfiqur Rahim. OUT! Rahim is gone! Oh dear...heartbreak for Bangladesh. Disappointment written all over Rahim's face. A full toss served by Holder, Mushfiqur heaves it across the line but fails to get enough power behind it. Keemo Paul holds onto the pressure catch at deep mid-wicket. Windies are delighted. This game has turned on its head now.

End of Over : 49 6 Runs 50.0: 264/5
48.6 W

Keemo Paul to Sabbir Rahman. OUT! Sabbir holes out! A juicy full toss outside off, tempts the batsman to go after it. Rahman swings his bat after going down on one knee but fails to get the desired elevation or distance. Hetmyer in the deep mid-wicket region makes no mistake. Is there any twist in the tale?

48.5 1

Keemo Paul to Mushfiqur Rahim. A low full toss this time, Rahim strokes it through covers for one.

48.4 1

Keemo Paul to Sabbir Rahman. Hits the yorker mark outside off, Sabbir squeezes it out to point where Lewis makes a diving stop. Cannot prevent the single.

48.3 1

Keemo Paul to Mushfiqur Rahim. Again a fullish ball outside off has been eased through point for a run.

48.2 2

Keemo Paul to Mushfiqur Rahim. A low full toss around off, Rahim shuffles across the stumps and paddles it down to fine leg. He rushes back for the second run, the throw from the deep is quite strong but the keeper misses the stumps while attempting to break it. Would not have made much of a difference though.

48.1 1

Keemo Paul to Sabbir Rahman. Too full and on off, driven square of the wicket on the off side for a run.
