West Indies vs Bangladesh Highlights And Cricket Score 3rd Match - T20I Commentary

End of Over : 19.2 WI: 190/10

Wickets fell at regular intervals after that and Windies ended with 190. So then, Bangladesh need 191 off 120 balls. Won't be easy but they will take this rather than chasing 230-240 which looked possible at one time. The chase will be back in sometime.

The Windies carnage though did not stop and Lewis especially, continued in his merry ways. What changed the whole complexion was when Mahmudullah was brought on. Even Lewis found it difficult to get him away and the off-spinner ended with figures of 3-18, definitely the star with the ball. The 3 wickets included the wicket of Lewis and that completely turned the innings' momentum around.

What a comeback from Bangladesh! An innings of two halves! Windies had 123 in the first 10 overs and did not manage to reach the 200-run mark. Courtesy the fact that they have lost the last 6 wickets for 31 runs and also lost their way completely. The innings started off in electric fashion, with the openers Evin Lewis and Shai Hope going bonkers. They had added 76 runs before the latter got out on the last ball of the fifth over.

19.2 W

Mahmudullah to Oshane Thomas. OUT! Mahmudullah has collected it cleanly and to be sure, he also takes the stumps out with the ball in his hand. That is the end of the Windies innings and THEY HAVE BEEN BOWLED OUT FOR 190! This is fired on the pads, the batsman works it towards square leg. Cottrell wants a run, Thomas is late to see his partner coming and he then responds. Shakib at short fine leg, collects the ball and throws it to Mahmudullah who takes the bails off after collecting the throw. The umpire goes upto check if it has been taken cleanly and the bails have been dislodged after the ball is collected. Replays confirm it has.

HIs that the end of the Windies innings? Bangladesh are surely celebrating as a run out appeal has been taken upstairs. The batsman is way short but has Mahmudullah collected the ball cleanly.

19.1 1

Mahmudullah to Sheldon Cottrell. Flatter and on middle, Cottrell works it towards mid-wicket for a run.

Mahmudullah to bowl the last over.

The ball goes towards third man and Abu sees it late, but comes in well in time and takes it perfectly in the end. This wicket has come at a good time for the hosts. He is hopeful of replicating the form with the ball of the first game and defend whatever, the target they have set.

Shakib Al Hasan says the dew will play a part later on. Mentions the wicket is a good one and it should remain the same. Further adds it was a good team performance in the last game and they need to repeat the same. Informs they are playing an unchanged XI.

Bangladesh have the momentum with them after a superb last game and will hope to repeat the same. The hosts are over relied on Shai Hope. He will look to continue on his form but needs some support from his team. The Windies will look to bounce back and seal the series. If a couple of big hitters come good, the Windies won't be an easy side to beat. Stay tuned for the toss and team news.

End of Over : 17.0 BAN: 140/10

The Windies are given the trophy and now are seen posing with it. A long tour comes to an end. The hosts took the Test and the ODI series, whereas, the Windies take the T20I cup. We hope you enjoyed our coverage. That is it from us for this series, hope we see you again in the matches coming further. Till then take care and goodbye!

Carlos Braithwaite, the winning captain says that he is very happy about their batting performance, not only today but over the last 3 games. Their talk before the game, was about how to not lose their way and have control over the whole innings. Coming to the bowling, he states that Keemo Paul did very well and congratulates him on a fine bowling performance. Also applauds the ones who did well in the first two games as well. Also adds that he is very proud to go apart on a winning note and feels that it is very important for a champion team like them to continue winning games and more series. Finally signs off by saying that they will hold their head high going back and also wishes everyone around a very Happy Christmas. He then heads on to collect the trophy and his team joins him, all smiles.

Shakib Al Hasan is the player of the series, also the captain of the Bangladesh is up next. He feels that the toss did not matter much and that the par score was around 180-185, but feels that they went wrong in their method of chasing. Feels that the problem was about losing wickets in the middle while chasing a big total. Goes on to say that he is not disappointed too much as they have played good cricket over the series and there were many good knocks and good bowling performances over the series. So, he feels that there is nothing to worry about and they just need to have more complete performances.

The player of the match which has been awarded to Evin Lewis. He feels that he is used to the ground as he has played for the Dhaka franchise in the Bangladesh T20 tournament for the last two years. He says that the pitch really played well and it was fun to spend sometime in the middle, get some runs and play a role in the win.

Windies' batting innings was superbly set up by a brilliant 89 from the left-handed opener Evin Lewis. He carted the ball to all parts of the ground. When he was batting some target around the region of par 220 was looking possible but the hosts' bowlers came back strongly and restricted the visitors to below 200. Yet, the target was always going to be a stiff one to achieve and even though there was dew, the pressure of the chase would always be there. Cutting back to the second innings, the hosts came out all guns blazing and were 62-1 in the 5th over. Then though, came the controversy and that seemed to have sparked a massive energy within the Windies players. They played as a pack and completely burst the Bangladeshi bubble. In the end, a pretty comprehensive win and an amazing way to take the match and the series. Please stay tuned for the presentation to follow.

The captain, Carlos Braithwaite leads his team off the park as they shake hands with the opposition. Excellent win for the Windies! They win the match and with it, the series 2-1. Well deserved and they have finally won a trophy on this tour. Today's match could be called a great show of spirit by them as they stuck together and have come hard at the Bangladeshis during the chase and derailed the hosts completely. Keemo Paul was the star with the ball as he picked up 5 wickets and from 62-1 the hosts have fallen to 140 all out. In fact at one time, they were down at 96-8, having lost 7 wickets for 36 runs.

The Bangladesh camp will breath a sigh of relief as another wicket was the last thing they would have wanted as this time. Allen tosses this up on middle, Das goes down on one knee and tries to sweep. The ball straightens, misses the bat of Das and hits him on the pads. Appeal follows and the umpire raises his finger. Das goes for the review. Replays roll in and it shows the on-field call to be overturned.

Big moment in the game! Das has been given out LBW. He has reviewed. Height or impact can save him here.

8.1 2

Fabian Allen to Liton Das. Nicely swept! It is played fine towards the leg side and a couple is taken.

The ball is a length half-volley outside off, and Mahmudullah who has looked really good so far, mistimes his lofted drive and hits it straight into the hands of the skipper, Braithwaite at mid off. This is absolute madness from the hosts! They have played unnecessary shots and have just thrown away their wickets.

5.4 0

Keemo Paul to Mahmudullah. Fuller length wide outside off, driven to the mid on fielder.

Mahmudullah is the new batsman in.

5.3 W

Keemo Paul to Mushfiqur Rahim. OUT! The controversy seems to be far gone now if you have a look at the Windies players. They are running around and celebrating. Wide outside off on a length and another Bangladesh batsman has gone chasing after a ball, hits it in the air. The ball goes straight to point and guess who has taken that catch, Fabian Allen! He has been involved in all the three wickets so far after the huge pause in play.

5.2 0

Keemo Paul to Mushfiqur Rahim. Another one outside off, Mushfiqur mistimes his drive to cover point.

5.1 0

Keemo Paul to Mushfiqur Rahim. Full outside off to start with, driven hard to mid off but no run.

Keemo Paul is into the attack.

End of Over : 5 4 Runs BAN: 66/3
4.6 0

Fabian Allen to Liton Das. Flatter on the stumps, it is kept out. An excellent first over by Allen, two wickets and 4 runs from it. Just the kind of over, the visitors needed to get back into the game.

4.5 1

Fabian Allen to Mushfiqur Rahim. Flatter again on off, Rahim pushes it down to long off for a single.

4.4 0

Fabian Allen to Mushfiqur Rahim. No hat-trick, not a good ball to bowl when you are on a hat-trick. Short and outside off, Rahim cuts it to point.

Mushfiqur Rahim replaces Shakib Al Hasan.

4.3 W

Fabian Allen to Shakib Al Hasan. OUT! Two in two for the Windies and they are right back in the contest. Once again it is reckless from a Bangladesh batsman. This time it is their skipper. Almost an identical dismissal to the Sarkar's. Allen tosses it up on off, Shakib brings out the slog sweep but ends up slicing it towards long on. Cottrell there takes a good catch diving forward. A golden duck for last games' hero. Bangladesh need another 126. Hat-trick ball coming up.

Shakib Al Hasan is the new man in.

4.2 W

Fabian Allen to Soumya Sarkar. OUT! Needless, very needless from Sarkar. He has just thrown it away. The Windies though won't care as they have gotten a much-needed breakthrough. The bowling change has done the trick for them. This is tossed up on middle, Sarkar tries to clear long on but only gets height and not the distance. Cottrell at long on, runs in and takes a good catch.

4.1 3

Fabian Allen to Liton Das. Close! This was full on middle, Liton goes down on one knee and plays the sweep, it goes off the inner half towards fine leg. The fielder from short fine leg gives it a chase and keeps it down to three.

Fabian Allen is into the attack.

End of Over : 4 30 Runs BAN: 62/1
3.6 6

Oshane Thomas to Soumya Sarkar. SIX! Add insult to injury! The Free Hit was outside off and on a short length. Sarkar makes room and cuts it away handsomely over the deep point fence for a maximum. The Windies look really disappointed. 30 runs off this over and that has become the most expensive over in this game, eclipsing the over of Abu Hider in the first innings that went for 27.

3.6 2

Oshane Thomas to Liton Das. No ball! The decision stands and the next ball will be a Free Hit! Braithwaite after a huge conversation walks back in disgust. He is seen in a huddle with his players and we are ready to go again. Coming to the ball though, it was a length ball outside off and Liton mistimes this in the air towards mid on who takes it comfortably. He throws it back as he has seen the signal from the umpire. The drama was what followed post that.

There is a huge halt in play here. The umpire has called a no ball and what came up on the replays, the decision seems to be harsh. The ball was a wicket one and it has agitated the Windies fielders. They have seen the replays and are protesting here. Braithwaite even asks for the umpire to take a review but the umpire says that cannot happen. Braithwaite and Co. do not want to continue without a fair decision here. The captain is seen talking to the fourth umpire as well as the match referee Jeff Crowe.

3.6 wd

Oshane Thomas to Liton Das. Wide! It is well down the leg side and the batsman does not want to play at it.

3.5 6

Oshane Thomas to Liton Das. SIX of the Free Hit! The ball is a nothing one on length and just on middle and off, Liton Das stands tall and hits it right back above the head of long. It just clears the fence and this over is becoming more expensive.

3.5 5

Oshane Thomas to Liton Das. NO BALL AND FOUR! Seems like Thomas has overstepped here and the ball has been lifted over mid-wicket and for a boundary. He has enough space to free his arms and this is what the Windies can't allow. Replays show that the foot is slightly landing on the line with some of it behind as well. It could be termed as a pretty harsh call by the umpire.

3.4 0

Oshane Thomas to Liton Das. A little closer to the off stump this time, Das tries to guide it to third man for a single but he finds the point fielder. The fielder throws and hits the stumps at the striker's end. No overthrows though.

3.3 4

Oshane Thomas to Liton Das. FOUR! Cut away in the air and well above the infield. All the way to the fence. Easy pickings this, cannot give so much room. Seems like they haven't learned from the previous game. This is his strong area.

3.2 0

Oshane Thomas to Liton Das. Back of a length delivery, defended off the back foot to point.

3.1 6

Oshane Thomas to Liton Das. SIX! All the way for a maximum over point! The ball is wide outside off and very short, Liton Das hops and cuts this hard for a huge six over point. Amazing start to the over for the hosts, pressure on the bowler straightaway.

End of Over : 3 5 Runs BAN: 32/1
2.6 2

Sheldon Cottrell to Soumya Sarkar. A couple from the Free Hit! End of a long, long over. This is on the pads, Sarkar tries to flick but gets a top edge towards short fine leg. Thomas there drops the catch and the batsmen take two. So despite 9 balls being bowled in this over, only 5 comes from it.

2.6 1

Sheldon Cottrell to Soumya Sarkar. NO BALL! Poor by Cottrell! Despite being warned, he goes for another bouncer. It is above the batsman's head and it has been signaled as a no ball. Free Hit coming up.

2.2 0

2.2 wd

Sheldon Cottrell to Soumya Sarkar. Down the leg side, the batsman tries to pull but misses.

2.1 0

Sheldon Cottrell to Soumya Sarkar. BEAUTY! Full and swinging away late from off. Soumya does not account for the movement and tries to hit it down the ground. The ball beats his outside edge.

End of Over : 2 17 Runs BAN: 27/1
1.6 4

Oshane Thomas to Liton Das. DROPPED AND FOUR! Wide outside off on a shorter length, Das cuts it in the air towards point. The fielder jumps to his right and gets a finger tip to it but cannot hold on. The ball runs away for a boundary. A life for Liton Das and lucky for Bangladesh. Could've lost their second wicket in the over.

1.5 1

Oshane Thomas to Soumya Sarkar. Well outside off to start, Sarkar looks to drive away from his body. He gets an outside edge that runs down to third man. Was slightly in the air but away from all the ring fielders.

Soumya Sarkar is the next man in.

1.4 W

Oshane Thomas to Liton Das. OUT! Run Out! What a shocker! No one expected this, neither the fielders nor the crowd as there was not much of an appeal after the keeper had taken the bails off. The ball is on length and flicked away towards the deep square leg fence by Das. Powell gives chase almost all the way to the boundary and picks it up, turns around and throws it back to the keeper's end. The batsmen were going for the third run. The throw is right on top of the stumps and Shai Hope takes the bails off in a flash. Tamim though did not look worried. The leg umpire took it upstairs and lo and behold! Tamim is found short! He has to depart and that's the first one down for the hosts. Has come against the run of play. Unbeliveable.

A run out appeal has been taken upstairs. Tamim Iqbal is the man in question. However, the players don't seem too excited.

1.4 wd

Oshane Thomas to Liton Das. Wide! Yet another extra. It is way down the leg side.

1.3 6

Oshane Thomas to Liton Das. SIX! The free hit is taken full toll off this time. Length ball on middle and leg, Das clears his front leg and hoicks it over cow corner for a maximum.

1.3 1

Oshane Thomas to Liton Das. Another no ball! This time it is called as it is the second bouncer in the over. The hook is missed again by Liton Das.

1.2 0

Oshane Thomas to Liton Das. Length ball just above the stumps, missed by Liton as he tries to hit it back straight over the bowler's head.

1.1 1

Oshane Thomas to Tamim Iqbal. Free Hit! Just a single off it in the end. The ball is fast and outside off on a length. Tamim looks to go over the off side but takes the top edge and the ball goes high in the air. Thomas drops the catch which wouldn't have mattered anyway. The batsmen pick up a run in the meantime.

1.1 1

Oshane Thomas to Tamim Iqbal. No ball! Huge overstepping from Thomas. The ball is a bouncer that Tamim ducks under and lets go. Free Hit coming up!

Oshane Thomas to bowl from the other end.

End of Over : 1 10 Runs BAN: 10/0
0.6 1

Sheldon Cottrell to Tamim Iqbal. Another short delivery, Tamim misses his pull but the keeper also misses his collection. The batsmen run through for a bye. Good start to the chase for Bangladesh. 10 from the over.

0.5 6

Sheldon Cottrell to Tamim Iqbal. SIX! Top edged for a maximum that lands just on the ropes. Short of a length outside off and Tamim dances down the wicket to smash it but gets a top edge on it. The ball flies over slip's head and all the way for a maximum. It lands on the ropes and the replays confirm the same.

0.4 1

Sheldon Cottrell to Liton Das. The plan is clear here. Not to give Liton Das any room. This one is on a shorter length and aimed at Das' body. He drops it on the off side and runs through for a quick single.

0.4 wd

Sheldon Cottrell to Liton Das. Wide! It is well down the leg side!

0.3 0

Sheldon Cottrell to Liton Das. Oooh! Cut the batsman in half there! Liton Das looks to make room and hit the ball over the off side but the bowler follows him. The batsman can't put bat to ball.
