The Mumbai team has already made way into the finals of the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2018 by defeating Hyderabad. The team defeated Hyderabad by 60 runs.  It was Prithvi Shaw who was in the news for scoring an amazing knock of 61 runs off 44 balls after Mohammed Siraj got into a little of a verbal spat with the youngster. Shaw chose to remain silent and allowed the bat to do the talking by hitting him for a couple of sixes and one four. Iyer who was batting with Ajinkya Rahane in the 20th over attempting a big shot. But suddenly the bat flung into the air along with the ball and for a moment Iyer looked clueless about what just happened. However, he realised that his bat went flying and Iyer kept on running on the other end.  Watch the video below:

Talking about the semi-finals, after winning the toss, Hyderabad elected to bat first. It was K Rohit Rayaudu who scored a swashbuckling 121 runs off 132 balls. Throughout his innings, he scored eight fours and four sixes. None of the other batsmen could go beyond the score of 30 runs. For Mumbai, it was Tushar Deshpande who got three wickets for the side. Shams Mulani, Dhawal Kulkarni and Shivam Dubey got one wicket each. Royston Dias got a couple of wickets. Shreyas Iyer also scored also scored 53 runs and remained not out with Ajinkya Rahane.
