The Neymar-Barcelona saga has taken a new turn as the Spanish giants are planning on signing the Brazilian superstar during the summer transfer window according to reports emerging from Spain. According to Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu and director Eric Abidal will not make any big signings in January in order to fund a move of Neymar’s return. The publication on their official handle also tweeted that 'If Neymar performs at a top level in 2020, he will again be among the priorities'. The Catalan giants need to pay a transfer fee of around €180 million if they want to acquire the services of the Brazilian from Paris Saint Germain in the summer. FC Barcelona are expected to sell some of their talent in order to fund this transfer and Philippe Coutinho might play an important role in all of this. The 27-year-old is currently on loan at Bayern Munich and is playing very well for the Bavarians, who could be tempted to make his loan move permanent. Neymar left Barcelona in 2017 and the Spanish club looked all set to announce the Brazilian’s return at the start of this season but the 27-year-old was not allowed to leave by Paris Saint Germain. The Catalan club, however, remains hopeful of bringing the former star back to Nou Camp and it could happen during the summer transfer window.
