Mary Kom record sixth-title win in December, last year, has propelled her on the top of the International Boxing Association (AIBA) rankings. In the latest rankings released by the AIBA, ‘Magnificent Mary’ is placed on the top spot in the 48-kg category with 1700 points.

After a stellar show in 2018, the high ranking comes as a perfect reward for the celebrated Indian boxer. The 36-year-old had a stupendous last year, where she emerged as a Gold medallist in Commonwealth Games 2018.

Also, she won a Gold medal in an international boxing event in Poland. After a marvellous 2018, Mary Kom has set her sights on the Gold Medal in Tokyo Olympics 2020. However, for that, she will have to prepare herself for the 51-kg category, as the 48-kg class will not be a part of the upcoming Olympics Games.
