Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), on Saturday, launched a lucrative data-recharge offer for its users, following the footsteps of the Mukesh Ambani-owned Reliance Jio IPL offer. In the latest offer by BSNL, its users will be able to get 3GB data daily to watch the IPL 2018 matches live online.

It comes as a good news for BSNL prepaid users, who will be able to enjoy the benefits until May 27, starting today. The BSNL’s IPL offer comes on the opening day of the Indian Premier League when Chennai Super Kings are competing against Mumbai Indians and will be valid till the Final of IPL 2018 is scheduled to be played.

The BSNL prepaid users will be offered 153GBs of data for 51 days, which roughly amounts to 3GB per day. The special plan by BSNL will be available for Rs 248. Since it is an IPL-based offer, users can recharge the same before April 30, starting April 7.

The plan comes on the footsteps of Jio’s special IPL plan, where Reliance is offering 102GBs of data for 51 days. Reliance Jio IPL offer would cost Rs. 251 for a user; a GB less than what BSNL is offering.

With its IPL offer, Jio has launched a couple of Jio App-only programs for its users. Jio has launched ‘Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan Live: never ‘Run-Out’ show, which will air original live episodes every weekend. It will be hosted by comedian Sunil Grover and TV anchor Sameer Kochhar.

Reliance Jio also launched ‘Jio Cricket Play-Along: Jeeto Dhan Dhana Dhan’ mobile-game, and will be available for users across India, in 11 Indian languages.

The entire telecom industry has found themselves in a soup in the last couple of years since Reliance Jio entered the market with a bang. The latest plan by BSNL is a testimony to the fact that Jio has disrupted the entire telecom market and has made other telecom operators follow its footsteps.
