Former Indian cricketer VVS Laxman celebrates his birthday on Friday (November 1). The former Indian star Test batsman turns 45 this year. Laxman is one of the best cricketers to play Test cricket for India. His ability to keep his wicket proved match-winnings and match savings for Team India in many games. Laxman has a comparatively great record against Australia, which was the most dominating team during his time. In his sixteen-year-long international cricket career from 1996 to 2012, Laxman played 134 Tests and 86 ODIs. Laxman smashed 8,781 runs in 134 Tests and 2,338 runs in 86 ODIs. He hit 17 centuries and 56 half-centuries in Tests. In ODIs, he smashed 6 hundreds and 10 fifties. In the later part of his career, he only played Test matches. He announced retirement from international cricket in August 2012, Currently, he is an active cricket commentator.
