Sourav Ganguly wished his daughter Sana on her 18th birthday. The newly-elected BCCI president has been busy overseeing the everyday affairs at the headquarters of India’s apex cricket body but still took out time to wish his daughter on her birthday. Ganguly took to Twitter to wish Sana on her birthday. “Happy 18th birthday Sana,” said the former Indian skipper on his twitter handle. Sana Ganguly, daughter of Sourav and Dona, was born on November 3, 2001, and celebrated her 18th birthday on Monday. Meanwhile, Ganguly was formally elected unopposed as the BCCI President on October 23, 2019. Ganguly, 47, thus became the 39th BCCI president and the second cricketer after Maharaja of Vizianagaram to be elected as the BCCI chief. The former Indian cricketer has already overseen a landmark decision after taking charge as the head of Indian cricket. Under Ganguly, the BCCI took the decision of playing its first-ever Day-Night Test match on Indian soil. The match will be played at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata from November 29 to December 3.
Ganguly also lauded the Indian and Bangladesh cricket teams for playing the 1st T20I in Delhi despite the horrendous weather situations and health emergency in the state. Both teams and match officials went ahead with Twenty20 encounter at the Arun Jaitley Stadium despite the Air Index Quality hitting harmful levels. Bangladesh beat India by seven wickets and three balls to spare to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match T20I series.
