South African Bowlers Dominate Virat Kohli & Men in the First Session of IND vs SA 3rd Test 2019, Day 1

Domination would be quite an apt word if there was one word that could describe the visitors’ performance during India vs South Africa, 3rd Test 2019 Day 1. After winning the toss, Virat Kohli elected to bat first at the JSCA Stadium in Ranchi. Little did they know it would be Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje who snapped three wickets in the first session for the South Africans. The first to go was Mayank Agarwal and then a while late Cheteshwar Pujara followed him. India Vs South Africa, Cricket Score 3rd Test Match.

Both these wickets were claimed by Rabada as he took advantage of the early movement on the pitch. Anrich Nortje got his maiden Test wicket which would be quite a memorable one for him as he sent Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli was sent packing on the score of 12 runs. Kagiso Rabada bowled a length delivery and the Indian opener pushed it towards the leg slip. Dean Elgar made no mistake to get that one.

Whereas, a classic in-swinger from the South African pacer did not allow Cheteshwar Pujara to open his account as the delivery got rapped on the back pad. Pujara too was out via an LBW on a golden duck. Whereas, Nortje nipped an inswinger and the Indian captain played a silly shot to get dismissed on 12.

As of now, the onus lies on Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane to take India to a respectable total. The team management would want both these men to stick around. The hosts now stand on 71/3.
