On November 20, The Supreme Court Raised Questions Over Delay In Assenting To Bills Enacted By The State Assembly. A Bench Led By CJI DY Chandrachud And Justices JB Pardiwala And Manoj Misra Said Governor RN Ravi Returned 10 Of The 12 Bills Pending With Him For His Assent After The Top Court Issued A Notice On The Tamil Nadu Government’s Plea. “These Bills Have Been Pending Since 2020. It Means That The Governor Decided After The Court Issued Notice. What Was He Doing For Three Years? Why Should The Governor Wait For The Parties To Approach The SC?” Asked The Supreme Court, As Reported By IANS.
