Britain on December 2 became the first country in the world to approve the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine for use and said that it will be rolled. The number of cases in the US has crossed the 14 million mark with nearly 3 lakh deaths. Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin on December 2 ordered authorities to begin mass vaccinations with the Sputnik V vaccine against the novel coronavirus from next week as the country recorded 589 new daily deaths from COVID-19.
