Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan tweeted on August 4 that he had tested positive for coronavirus and was admitted to a hospital on the advice of his doctors. Pradhan, who described himself as "healthy", has been admitted to the Medanta Hospital in Gurgaon near Delhi. On August 2, Uttar Pradesh minister Kamal Rani Varun, 62, died at Lucknow's Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Science after testing positive.
