Krunal Pandya's men qualified for the playoffs this year on the back of a thrilling one-run victory over Kolkata Knight Riders. Rinku Singh almost won KKR the game at the Eden Gardens but eventually, Lucknow held their nerve to secure a playoff spot.

Mumbai Indians

The five-time champions qualified under dramatic circumstances. They beat Sunrisers Hyderabad in their final league match but qualified only after Gujarat Titans defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore.
