Ramanathapuram (TN), Oct 16 (PTI) Two persons were killed Tuesday in a bomb attack by a gang near the DIG camp office here, police said, adding five persons surrendered in connection with the incident.

The deceased have been identified as Karthi and Vikki. They were accused in double murder cases and had gone to a court here to put in their signatures as part of their bail condition.

The duo was attacked with bombs in the district collector office complex, police said.

While Karthik died on the spot, the gang chased Vikki and attacked him with sickles, they said.

Five members of the reported gang namely, Baskaran, Murugesan, Ruban, Arjun and Murali surrendered before the police Tuesday.
