Ghaziabad, Apr 16 (PTI) A 25-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide today at her PG accommodation in Indira Puram Colony's Amrapali village here, police said.

The incident took place around 6:30 pm. She was staying as a paying guest (PG), they said.

SHO, Indira Puram, Sachin Malik said on getting information from the control room, a police team reached the spot and found the girl hanging from a ceiling fan.

Police took the body into custody and sent it for postmortem, the officer said.

The woman has been identified as Piryanka Verma, a native of Kota district in Rajasthan. She was working at a private company in Noida, Malik said.

Police have recovered a mobile phone and are trying to trace a man whom she gave call few minutes before taking the extreme step.

The parents of the woman have been informed and they will reach here tomorrow morning.

The FIR will be lodged after her parents lodge a complaint, the SHO said.
