Shahjahanpur (Uttar Pradesh) [India], Oct 14 (ANI): At least 17 people were rescued of which three died after an under-construction building in Uttar Pradesh's Shahjahanpur collapsed on Sunday.

The two-story building collapsed around 3:30 PM. The rescue operation is currently underway.

"17 people were rescued of which three people have died. An investigation will be done and strict action will be taken against the culprits. The rescue operation is currently underway," said Ranveer Prasad, Divisional Commissioner of Bareilly.

Teams of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) have been dispatched from Lucknow for assisting in relief work. (ANI)
