New Delhi [India], Feb 18 (ANI): Election Commissioner Sushil Chandra was named as the nominee for the proposed Delimitation Commission for Jammu and Kashmir by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sunil Arora on Monday.Months after the bifurcation of the state of Jammu and Kashmir the Centre has begun moving to start the delimitation of Jammu and Kashmir.According to the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Act, 2019 which came into effect on October 31, the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir will have an Assembly while UT of the newly created Ladakh will not.Apart from Chandra, the Commission will also have a serving or retired judge of the Supreme Court as the chairperson and the State Election Commissioner as ex-officio members.
