Bhubaneswar, November 28: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has released postage stamps to commemorate the ongoing 14th edition of the Men's Hockey World Cup. The stamp were released in the presence of Chief Postmaster Jalesware Kanhar at the state Secretariat here.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said: "I would like to thank the Postal Department for producing the beautiful stamp at the time of Hockey World Cup." A total of five varieties of commemorative postage stamps based on the sporting event have been released. The Odisha government has requested the postal department to release postage stamps of Rs. 5 each. India is set to kick-start their campaign at the prestigious tournament against South Africa later in the day.
