Mumbai, Dec 17 (PTI) Ashraf Hussain of Delhi got past Maharashtra's Shanay Sanghavi in the mens open second round qualification match of the 75th CCI Western India Open Squash championship on Monday.
Hussain dropped the opening and third games, but fought back strongly to win the fourth and fifth games to snatch a 9-11, 11-2, 7-11, 11-3, 11-8 victory.
Results: Mens Open qualifying (2nd round): Vicky Gagat (MH) beat Yashraj Bhargava (MH) 11-5, 11-8, 9-11, 11-6; Ashraf Hussain (DL) beat Shanay Sanghavi (MH) 9-11, 11-2, 7-11, 11-3, 11-8; Ajay Singh Bhadoria (SE) beat Simranjit Singh (MH) 11-7, 2-11, 11-9, 8-11, 11-9; Kunal Singh (SE) beat Aaroh Soni (MH) 8-11, 11-8, 11-3, 14-12; Rushabh Vora (MH) beat Khan Shahbaj (GJ) 11-8, 11-7, 11-3; Akhil Daswani (MH) beat Tizil Saini (UP) 11-8, 11-9, 11-4.
