Mumbai, October 24: A retired Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) died by suicide by jumping off from his residential building in Mumbai's Matunga-East area, said police. According to the Matunga police, the incident took place on Monday evening at around 5 pm.
The retired ACP, Pradeep Temkar, was rushed to the nearest hospital where he was declared dead by the doctors. The 70-year-old retired officer was a resident of the Ganga Heritage building, Deodhar Road, Matunga East where he was living with his wife and two sons. A case has been registered under the accidental death report (ADR) at the Matunga police station and further investigation into the matter has been initiated, said police.
