Aizawl (Mizoram), July 27 (ANI): Mizoram will receive ₹120 crore from the Centre under the Financial Assistance to States/UTs for Public Health Infrastructure (FASPHI) scheme during the financial year 2026-27, Chief Minister Lalduhoma announced on Monday.
Lalduhoma addressed the gathering and informed that the project proposal worth ₹120 crore has already been approved by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW). The Ministry is expected to forward the approved proposal to the Ministry of Finance for the release of funds.

The Chief Minister said the FASPHI scheme has earmarked ₹4,200 crore for states and Union Territories during 2026-27, with Mizoram being allocated ₹120 crore based on its performance under the scheme's prescribed indicators.
Lalduhoma said the performance-based assistance is aimed at strengthening public health infrastructure and improving healthcare delivery in the state. He added that the financial support would enable the government to enhance medical facilities and implement key health infrastructure projects.

The Chief Minister also expressed confidence that the funding would contribute significantly to improving the quality and accessibility of healthcare services across Mizoram.
