Shopian, October 10: Two terrorists belonging to the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) outfit were killed in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district on Tuesday, police said. "Killed #terrorists have been identified as Morifat Maqbool & Jazim Farooq @ Abrar of #terror outfit LeT. #Terrorist Abrar was involved in killing of Kashmiri Pandit late Sanjay Sharma," ADGP Kashmir said in a post on X. Kashmir: Encounter Breaks out in Shopian's Alshipora Area.

According to police, the encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists in the Alshipora area of Shopian in the early hours of Tuesday. The encounter started while security forces were conducting an anti-terrorist operation after the police received information about the presence of terrorists in the area, officials said.
