New Delhi [India], September 13 (ANI): Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, along with Union Ministers and chief ministers of various states, attended the gala dinner hosted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for BRICS leaders and delegates at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on Saturday.

Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju also shared glimpses of the gathering and said India was proud to host the BRICS Summit.

“India is proud to host #BRICS Summit. Along with Union Ministers & Chief Ministers, joined the banquet hosted by Hon'ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji for India's most honored guests with pure Indian hospitality,” Rijiju said in a post on X.

The gala dinner comes hours after BRICS leaders unanimously adopted the New Delhi Declaration 2026, with the document calling for reforms in global governance and stronger representation of developing countries.

Earlier at the summit, BRICS leaders unanimously adopted the New Delhi Declaration 2026, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi describing the outcome as a reflection of a BRICS that is “wider in reach and stronger in purpose”.

In a series of posts on X, PM Modi said the declaration focuses on innovation, sustainability and people-to-people ties, with the aim of making cooperation “more practical, development-oriented and responsive to the aspirations of the BRICS nations”.

“I thank all the fellow BRICS nations and their leaders for its adoption,” the Prime Minister said.

The 18th BRICS Summit is being held in New Delhi on September 12-13, with India's chairship centred on resilience, innovation, cooperation and sustainability. (ANI)
