Jammu Oct 19 (PTI) The Jammu and Kashmir Housing Board (JKHB) is planning to construct around 30,000 housing units for the people in Jammu, an official said Friday.
Financial commissioner of the Housing and Urban Development Department K B Aggarwal informed this during his visit to the various proposed sites along with managing director of the J&K Housing Board Raj Kumar Katoch, vice chairman of the Jammu Development Authority (JDA) Pawan Rathore and other officers concerned.
Aggarwal visited the proposed sites at Bhalwal, Jagti, Majin Sidhra and Upper Thather, Jammu and took first hand appraisal of the available land and other issues.
While stressing on the need to expedite the process, Aggarwal directed the JKHB and JDA to work in tandem to remove the bottlenecks to execute these projects of providing affordable housing for all in a time bound manner.
