Hyderabad (Telangana), Oct 25 (ANI): Around 170 cases of malaria have been reported in the state of Telangana.

Civil Surgeon and Resident Medical Officer (RMO) of Fever Hospital, Padmaja told ANI that malarial and viral cases are increasing in the city due to seasonal changes and fluctuations in the temperature.

"This is mostly due to the seasonal change. Till now, 170 people have tested positive for malaria this year. In August, 58 cases of malaria were reported from this hospital," Padmaja added.

She also advised people to be cautious and take preventive measures. "Everyone should take necessary precaution to prevent themselves from the mosquito bites. The use of mosquito nets is mandatory as the malaria cases are rising in the city. However, we are hopeful that we will be able to handle the situation efficiently," she added. (ANI)
