Naushera (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], Nov 11 (ANI): One Indian Army soldier lost his life in the ceasefire violation by Pakistan at the Line of Control (LoC) in Naushera sector on Sunday.
The deceased soldier, identified as 29-year-old Naik Gosavi Keshav Somgir, was critically injured during the unprovoked firing from across the border and later succumbed to his injuries.
Hailing from Maharashtra, Somgir is survived by his wife.
As per an official statement, "Naik Gosavi Keshav Somgir was a brave and sincere soldier. The nation will always remain indebted to him for the supreme sacrifice and devotion to duty. Indian Army has retaliated strongly and effectively on Pakistan Army posts." (ANI)
