New Delhi, Oct 12 (PTI) Two persons were arrested for allegedly being involved in snatching incidents in east Delhi, police said Friday.

The accused were identified as Yasin (24), a resident of Dallu Pura Gaon, Delhi, and Mithun (26), a resident of Sector 16-B, Dwarka, they said.

A country-made pistol, two live cartridges and a motorcycle were recovered from their possession, police added.

On the intervening night of Thursday and Friday, policemen, patrolling near LSR College, Lala Lajpat Rai Marg, saw two persons fleeing on a scooter after assaulting and robbing a man. They were apprehended after a brief chase of 500 meters, police said.
