Chandigarh, Apr 30 (PTI) Punjab Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu said today that violence in the name of cow protection cannot be allowed in the state.

"If anyone is found taking law in his hands, he will have to face stern action according to the law," Sidhu said.

After a meeting of officers of Animal Husbandry and Labour Department, Sidhu said action will be taken against anyone found harming the interest of farmers in the name of cow protection.

Earlier today, he reviewed the ongoing schemes and projects.
